  1. Total should include timer

Include the current task in the Timer as part of the Total in the bottom right. (And updating every minute would be fine. I don't need to see the seconds ticking off and using CPU).
As a person keeping track of my time I would like to know if I've already worked the desired number of hours without reading the total at the bottom, and the time on the timer and doing the math myself.
    Perhaps there would be Completed: {duration} Timer: {duration} Total: {sum of Completed and Timer}

  2. Access Advanced Search from any view

Advanced search would be useful when reviewing a Timesheet, but the keyboard shortcut CTRL+SHIFT+F only works when in Day View. While it is possible to navigate to Day View, open Advanced Search, then navigating back to Timesheet View, this is cumbersome.

  3. You need a much better way to deal with conflicts in autotags

Conflicts in autotags are taking me forever. There are so many of them. You need a feature that detects them and that has some form of wizard that will scroll through them all and just ask the user to select which is the tag they want most, either on a day basis or by project, or some other way.

  4. Hit "play" on a previous tagged entry to start timer again

After working on Task A, you switch to Task B and create the new tags. Then, when you want to switch back to Task A, it would be nice if you could just right click on the previous block of time (or select from the drop down in the corner) to start the timer again for Task A. Instead of having to retype in the popup (just takes more time).

  5. When exporting a timesheet offer to open the file in the associated app

When I export a timesheet to Excel my very next action is to open it in Excel which I suspect is a common next action for many people. Currently it's a manual process; run Excel, locate where I saved the file and open it. If I'm processing many exports this can be a significant percentage of the time spent.
I'm about to write an autohotkey script to automate this for myself however it would be nice if Manictime offered the option to directly open the exported file after saving.

  6. More Recent Tags options

Expand the Settings -> Tagging configuration to change the way Recent Tags is displayed:

    1. Recent Tags (Globally)
    2. Recent Tags (Individually)
    3. Recent Tags (Filtered for the Application and/or Document being tagged)

3 is huge. If the same Application and/or Document is always tagged the same - why do we still need to sift through the recent tags list each and every time.

Not enough votes. If an application and/or document is always tagged the same then the AutoTag feature is perfect for you. You can also transfer auto tags to tags so the process is fairly easy.

  7. Quick select toolbar

I have used ManicTime for several years, and I think it's the best time tracker on the market. There is one thing, however, that continues to frustrate me.
The way the program works is perfect. However the amount of UI interaction required to do things is too high. For example:

    When allocating times:
    - right click on the time block
    - choose 'tag activity as'
    - select activity (if on list, otherwise click 'add tag' and type text)

this may have to be repeated for 10 or 12 activity blocks suring the day

Likewise, the timer feature is great in…

I think this is two tasks in one. One is better tagging, which I think is quite fast in ManicTime. You can just select and press a shortcut key to tag. Or just drag time and press down arrow and tag.

The other is for stopwatch with specific tag, which sounds interesting and we could work on it if there is support for the feature.

  8. Possibility for copy the notice

I have to transfer it to another Programm. I would like to copy all notices simple. Sometimes you habe 3 entrys with different notices. At the moment you have to copy I from every entry :-(

What you can do is select multiple lines with CTRL or SHIFT select.

Then Copy(Ctrl-C), then paste to excel and Notes will be in its own column. Then you can just select that column and paste somewhere else.

  9. command line to exit the program

A command line option to exit the program would be helpful; that way I can automate backups even more.

Exiting/stopping a service is already natively supported on all operating systems that ManicTime is available on therefore this feature is unnecessary.

  10. Selective Image Scrolling

Allow any kind of selection on the timeline and provide the ability to scroll through just the images for what is selected optionally removing or re-including the selection covered by the shown image for the final log entry and the end of the process.

  11. Screenshot pop-up window: pin to always on top

I like that I can now pop-out the screenshot pop-up window, but I would like this window to be 'pinnable' so that it stays on top of ManicTime while I am clicking back and forth, doing my timesheets.

  13. Google Maps Location History or KML Import

KML with specified location data is generated via a standard URL. This url downloads the past 24 hours by default but can be fed additional info to get more https://www.google.com/maps/timeline/kml

    More info: https://github.com/JanLauGe/Maps-Location-History

I could see it importing directly but even if there was just a way to import a KML that would probably be helpful.

  15. Anyone interested in a FF extension that prepends the current container to the window title?

I've created a quick and dirty FF extension that will essentially do the above. I use ManicTime + Multi-Account Containers + Simple Tab Groups -- and that's been pretty good to keep a sprawling bunch of tabs in check, and has worked fairly well with ManicTime to autotag. However, I was really wanting to be able to autotag based on the current tab's container rather than just the group I was currently in.

For instance: have one tab group that represents an MSP I contract to with multiple tabs for their different clients open in that group in their own…

  17. Monitoring of applications running in the background (applications of our choice)

I am listening to music on Spotify but something else is open on my window screen.

Therefore, the application cannot detect the Spotify application running in the background.

Since we cannot monitor all background applications, in fact, if we select certain programs in the settings section and then say watch even if these programs run in the background, we can watch the applications we want running in the background.

I am waiting for your comments in this way.

  19. BUG: ghost tooltip after closing "Tag last untagged" window

    1. Open "Tag last untagged time"
    2. Hover over "X" close button until tooltip appears.
    3. Close the window with Alt+F4 Result: the tooltip remains and is not erased no matter what else you do. The only workaround is to restart ManicTime.

  20. Ability to print all activites during a given day....similar to Journal in MS Office

Similar to the former Journal option in MS Office, I'd like to print a list of all emails, and documents I've worked on during a given day.
