Secondary tag timeline
i would like to see an option to add a second tag timeline to the main screen. when adding a tag by selecting a timeframe, there should be an option in the menu "add [secondary tag customized label]" below "add tag" option. potential use cases are:
* tracking your mood separately from activities
* keeping a sepcific project on a separate timeline
* tracking your location (using tags such as "home", "work", "bus") independently of activities
* tracking your company (alone / co-workers / with partner, what have you)
... and countless others.this would make manictime more customizable.

Regularly reminds you to take short breaks for your eyes.
It would be great if ManicTime implemented a regularly reminds for eyes.
When you are working at a computer it is easy to forget about time. This leads to eye strain and other physical problems.
Screen dims and blocking long breaks every hour (displays the timer showing how much time is left before the end of the break and skip button).
Before the beginning of a long break in center of the screen displays a notice - "if you want to start a break? - start / take me 3 minutes/ skip". In "strict mode" such notice does not appear,…50 votesThere are a lot of other apps specialised for this, it would only make ManicTime even more complex.

As i do reports on a weekly basis and to be more precise on activity tracking , i tend to use manictime & a keylogger combination.
it would be nice to have that feature to be integrated .
the keylogging would have to be toggleable on demand16 votesnot enough votes

MySQL as a database backend
I would find it very helpful if manic time supported MySQL as a database backend.
In the environment I work in all of our backend systems already use MySQL and it would be much more convenient if Manic Time did too so that we could easily query data across our databases.

Divide time that is tagged with multiple tags
Imagine today I worked 14 hours on something that benefits client A and client B. I tagged this time with both tags, "Client A" and "Client B".
Currently ManicTime's timesheet tells me I have worked 28 hours today, which is oviously not true.
I would like to show the time as 7 hours for tag "Client A" and 7 hours for tag "Client B".

Ability to chose the old (non-flat) theme
A non-flat design with less saturated background colors would be really nice

Enhancing Tracking schedule: Capture activity if user is active even though outside scheduled timeframe.
Enhancing Tracking schedule: Capture activity if user is active even though outside scheduled timeframe.
This is useful because the user can then track their "normal" daily usage and be prompted when they are away but still capture their "extra" usage which is outside the normal working hours.
An example would be when a crisis occurs.
Normal I work from 9am to 5pm. I want to be prompted when there are time gaps in my day so I have set up a tracking schedule for 9am to 5pm. THIS WORKS PERFECTLY!
However, an emergency has occurred and I am now working…

Linux Client - Fully Local UI
Currently, the Linux client lacks its own UI - it must be used with a separate server to act as its UI. The problem is, if you're already using a remote central server to coordinate multiple clients you can't run that server locally - and having to depend on a remote server as the only form of UI makes it impossible to work while offline (i.e. on flights, out in the field, etc). Furthermore, the only way to use screenshots is by syncing them - which will consume an immense amount of additional data, which may not be feasible if…

Go off the record until configured time
I work different shift patterns and use the computer for personal as well as business. I'd like the ability to go off record until a pre-configured time, i.e. until I start work the following day. My PC usage often goes past midnight, so go off record until tomorrow doesn't work. I'd like the ability to set a default go on record time within configuration, then within the system tray icon "Go of record until" menu have a 5th option called "Until xx:xx" where xx:xx is the pre-configured time.
I'd also like a 6th menu option called something like "Until ??:??".…
10 votesGo off the record until tomorrow will work with Time shift. So if you set time shift to 5am, then MT will start tracking at 5 am and you can use "Until tomorrow".

Arc for iOS location tracking support now that the Moves App has reached EOL status
I was disappointed to learn today that Facebook is discontinuing the Moves App, as I've relied a lot on it to log my on-site service visits. I've found what I consider is a suitable substitute, the Arc App for iOS. I would really like to see support for this.

Split Tagged Category and Add Across Other Tags
I use tags to keep track of time spent on billable projects during the day. I use other tags to track time spent on non-project specific tasks, that are still billable. I would like to be able to automatically split this non-project specific time across all billable projects for the day.

ManicTime will start tracking immediately, main window (ManicTimeClient.exe) is a different process than the part which does the tracking (ManicTime.exe)

Show URL in the applications list
I'd like to see the URL in the application list. It currently only shows the title of the page, but when working on a ticketing system, it can always be the same title, but at least with the URL we can quickly search for ticket ID. It would also be nice if we could have a contextual menu (right-click) option to open the URL in the browser (like in the documents list).

Compatibility through WineHQ
Afaic, ManicTIme is focused in Windows machines, with a tracker available for the other platforms. So someone on these other platforms can use the service (even though a bit cumbersomely compared to windows) even without a full port that we would like.
The hickup in this, is that if he wants to use the WIndows App (let's admit it is way more useful for individuals than the server web page) he has to launch a VM every time.
Having said these, understanding that a full port to other platforms can be costly for the ManicTime Team, I would like to…
9 voteswe would love to make a linux client, but it would take a lot of time.
We are not experts on Linux, looking at WineHQ it looks like it could work, but based on our experience with .net/WPF on Windows... lets just say we have problems with it on Windows, I can only imagine how many problems would there be with WineHQ.
If anybody has experience with this and could help us let us know, but for us to really support this properly is too much work.

Notification when using Timers
A modal desktop notification when using Timers or Pomodoro.
Sometimes I don't know that my timer finished if I don't check with Manictime icon in the tray.

Button on Away window to mark that you weren't away
The Away screen is very useful, but sometimes shows up when I am not away.
Example 1: I am looking at the screen and thinking about something for a few minutes.
Example 2: I am on a VOIP phone call
I think it would be helpful if there was a button on the Away screen that said "I wasn't away".
If you clicked it, it would allocate the away time to last activity recorded.

Let's Encrypt Certificate Support
It would be great if you could integrate an Let's Encrypt Certificate request/renewal functionality for the ManicTime server so it automatically can use them.

Track several tasks simultaneously
Sometimes, it is possible to perform a bit of multitasking. A task may require attention every 5-10 minutes, in which time another similar task may be performed. - Both tasks are billable.
An example is server maintenance for a client (or several clients). Installing and configuring updates, software, etc. - Often such tasks are "fragmented" and may be performed in parallel.
It would be great to be able to have an option in Settings to switch on "Track Multiple tasks simultaneously", which enables several stopwatches in parallel. - This saves me from having to manually tracking it and manually adding…7 votesNot enough votes

Exclude full screen applications from screenshots
Right now we can include or exclude screenshots by window title. I don't want to capture screenshots when I am watching movies or playing games. Right now I have to put in a new exclude filter every time I install a new game.
Would be better if there was a checkbox "Do not take screenshots of full-screen applications"
