Secondary tag timeline
i would like to see an option to add a second tag timeline to the main screen. when adding a tag by selecting a timeframe, there should be an option in the menu "add [secondary tag customized label]" below "add tag" option. potential use cases are:
* tracking your mood separately from activities
* keeping a sepcific project on a separate timeline
* tracking your location (using tags such as "home", "work", "bus") independently of activities
* tracking your company (alone / co-workers / with partner, what have you)
... and countless others.
this would make manictime more customizable.
Too much of expert feature. It increases complexity too much. For each tag user would have to choose on which timeline they want it, different tag sources for different tag timelines... There are a lot of things to change.

I use the Jira plug-in. But I also have to report my activities on another system for which I use a tags hierarchy that differs from what Jira offers. This is why it would be very useful to me to have 2 timelines: one for Jira and another for the other tracking tool.
I could then use the week TimeSheet to summarise on either timelines, just like it is already possible with tags and tagsAuto. -

So what i have in mind is:
The "Normal" Document, Application and Usestate Timelines,
Then the "Auto-Tags" Timeline,
One Tag-Timeline where all Tags are that i enter in the "What did you when your away" window Shows. (Thats what i mean with "Away Times")
And at last one TagTimeline where i construct the Tags i want to get synced with the Server. (Default empty)
Currently all Tags i do for the times i was away, are in the Normal Tag Timeline and would get synced to the Server, but with removing These tags, the Information of what i entered for the away times get lost. -
Why is secondary timeline beneficial in this case? Currently you can sync only tag timeline to the server. Or is this just for you, so you would use tag timeline for yourself and then sync only away times?

I would love to see a secondary Tag Timeline, where the "Away Times" are.
Becouse i want to get my Company to use manicTime. But most of the People around, dont want to submit there actually times. (Ist to personal and tracking to exact) so all collected data (titles, screenshots, autotags, awaytime) should just work as an aid, to construct the final tagline, which then is commited to the Server. For example we do only 15 Minutes steps for our tracking. -

I understand the usefulness of being able to apply structure to a tag set, for hierarchy, mutual exclusion, orthogonality, requirements, etc. I've asked for this in the past.
But what specifically does providing multiple tag timelines achieve that a single tag timeline that allows multiple simultaneous/overlapping tags does not?

I agree - we use ManicTime as a backup to our own custom Time Tracker - this actually has multiple tags (non hierarchical) - depending how you count them it could be as many as 8 or 9 plus the notes field. Some of those tags have a couple of hundred entries to pick from, some are a number (our Helpdesk ticket number, so not a "picklist" option) - there are some regular combinations and some combinations that aren't allowed - but all serve a purpose...
We've tried other solutions and our billable hours dropped by 20-30% in a month, so we've stuck with it! I'm certain this is way beyond the scope of how most people use ManicTime, but we're a professional services consultancy and that's what we need...
Our in-house written Time Tracker is functional but a bit of a dog to use and maintain - if it was an option I'd be very interested in the costs of a custom version of ManicTime with our extra functionality? You've got my email address I presume?!!
