Auto Tags searches to apply large number of tags
I have ManicTime v2025.2.02
USE CASE
I have various tasks that I know will always go into certain buckets and I want to add about 30-50 searches that I'll update over time. To make the example basic, imagine if I wanted to create auto tags like this. I've listed 5 examples, but as I said, there are really 30+ searches. For the most part, I'll want these searches to hit on any timeline, but for some searches I might only want to search one timeline (eg, only documents, only calendar, etc.)
Tag 1: cats AND john AND microsoft.com
Tag 2: dogs and jim AND apple.com
Tag 3: (squirls OR ducks) AND john
Tag 4: ((flowers OR dirt) AND google.com) NOT apple.com
Tag 5: (greg OR ralph OR frank OR nancy) AND apples
QUESTIONS
Is it possible to apply the same custom search vs. multiple timelines to apply auto tags? It looks like I can only add searches one at a time vs. the local documents and applications timelines. I see the main window lets me apply those searches vs. other timelines, but that option does not seem to work and the searches only hit vs. the specified local documents or applications timelines
Can you fix this error -->? When I try to add the same AutoTag search for both the documents and applications timelines after selecting add auto tag from the timeline view, the program crashes, but only if the search criteria is the same. If I specify slightly different criteria, there is no crash when adding auto tag searchs from the timeline view. There also is no crash if I go in to edit searches in the AutoTag Editor to specify the same criteria for a documents and applications timeline search. In other words, where the search critera is entered is sometimes crashing the program.
Can I add custom searches in the Auto Tag Editor directly (vs. selecting part of a timeline to create new auto tag searches)? I do not see a way to add new auto tag searches in the Auto Tag Editor in bulk.
