Add document timeline plugin support for WPS Office (Writer, Spreadsheets, Presentation)
Hi ManicTime team,
First of all, thank you for building such a great automatic time tracker — the document timeline is the killer feature for me.
I'm a heavy user of WPS Office (Writer, Spreadsheets, and Presentation) instead of Microsoft Office. Currently, ManicTime's document plugins track document names for MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, but they don't recognize WPS Office applications. As a result, all my WPS work hours only show up as generic application usage (wps.exe, et.exe, wpp.exe), and the document timeline stays empty — I can't see which document I was working on at any given time.
WPS Office has a huge user base, especially in Asia, with over 500 million devices worldwide. Adding support would benefit a large number of existing and potential users.
What I'd like to see:
A document plugin that reads the document name/full path from WPS Writer (wps.exe), WPS Spreadsheets (et.exe), and WPS Presentation (wpp.exe) window titles
The WPS document title format is generally similar to MS Office (e.g., "filename.docx - WPS Writer"), so presumably the existing plugin architecture could be extended with new window-title parsing rules
This would make the document timeline just as useful for WPS users as it already is for MS Office users. Thanks for considering this!
