TickTick / Dida integration plugin
Hi ManicTime team,
I'd love to see an official integration with TickTick (and its Chinese counterpart Dida / 滴答清单), similar to the existing Jira integration.
Use case:
TickTick is my single source of truth for tasks. Every day I plan my work there, but ManicTime is where the actual time data lives. Right now there is no bridge between the two, so I have to manually recreate my TickTick tasks as ManicTime tags — error-prone and quickly out of sync.
What I'd like to see:
Import tasks/lists from TickTick and show them as (auto)tags in ManicTime — ideally scoped to "Today" or selectable lists
Auto-tag matching: suggest tags by matching active window/document titles against TickTick task names
(Nice to have) Export tagged time entries back to TickTick, so each task shows actual time spent, enabling plan-vs-actual comparison
Implementation notes that may help:
TickTick provides an official Open API (OAuth2) at developer.ticktick.com; Dida (滴答清单), the Chinese version, exposes the same API at developer.dida365.com with a separate endpoint — supporting both would cover the global and Chinese user bases in one plugin
TickTick + Dida together have tens of millions of users, and many of them are exactly the "quantified self / GTD" audience that overlaps heavily with ManicTime users
This would turn ManicTime into a perfect closed loop: plan in TickTick, measure in ManicTime, review both together. Thanks for considering it!
