Remember "periodically check if I am still working on this" settings
I use the above mentioned feature of the stopwatch every time, and I set it to remind me every 5 minutes. It would be useful if ManicTime remembered the state of the checkbox and how many minutes specified, then defaulted to that instead of 30 minutes.

Enter additional Location TimeLine
Add additional Metric with the Location Information (either automatic updated or manual entry) to have a track where you worked - has some tax impact in some countries.

Automated Alerts Based on Mid-Week Timesheet totals
Apparently I work too much...
It'd be great to set up an alert that monitors the totals of billable tags for a given date range and performs an action (alert, email, etc.) when a configured threshold is reached.
For Example:
As a user, I want to create a recurring "timeline/tag summary alert" so that I receive a notification (via email) when the total time for a given tag exceeds a specified number of hours within a date range.6 votesAlerts were added in v4.4

Show billable/non-billable total time summary in Day tab summary
Currently, in the Day tab, you see the timeline in the top section and in the bottom section you see on the left a breakdown of the individual tags assigned in the order they were assigned with durations, and on the right, these same tags summarised into total duration for the period selected.
Down in the bottom-right section's statusbar, it shows the total time for all tags which includes both billable and non-billable.My request is that this statusbar total be modified to show total billable, total non-billable, as well as the total of these combined. This would make it…

Manic time Skype call plugin for skype preview app
The new Skype app for windows 10 is nice. but am forced to use the old desktop version as the skype calls plugin works only with the desktop version. It would be great if the plugin works for the new app too

open document from advanced search of application timeline
I would like to be able to search the Applications timeline (for words appearing in a web page title, etc.), find a web page I am looking for, right-click on that page, and then Open the associated URL in my browser. Right now an Open option appears on the right-click menu for the found items, but it is grayed out.

Bluebeam Revu plugin (for PDFs)
Bluebeam is the most common PDF viewer in the construction industry (and maybe others), it would be great if a plugin could be used to extract the filepath for autotagging.

linux client time away tracking configuration
Hi, I've just realize that among a lot of possible tweaks on windows desktop client, you can configure the away time.
Unfortunantly I can't find this tweak on linux client. I would like to tweak it, even if I should find an XML file and change data in there.
Thanks for your attention.5 votesThis can be achieved through client settings on the ManicTime Server/Cloud.

Option in JIRA 'Save Work' dialog to consolidate entries before sending
I have just started using the JIRA plugin, and it's very impressive! One thing I think would be a great enhancement would be if there were some consolidation options in the 'Save Work' dialog box.
At a minimum, it would be great if multiple timelogs on the same date with the same "notes" could be combined into one before being sent to JIRA.
Another option which would be great would be if all timelogs on the same date for the same issue could be combined into a single entry - with all the notes concatenated together.
Thanks!
5 votesI think all of this was done, I can re-open the issue if i’m wrong.

Screenshot after switching window - optional/time delay
I just noticed that manictime creates a screenshot every time the active window changes. this creates an unnecessary amount of images in some cases and it would be great have an option to disable for some processes or to control it with a delay (screenshot after X seconds still active..)

Brave Browser
I just switched to using the Brave Browser because Google Chrome is a resource hog. Brave doesn't show any screenshots in the Professional version of ManicTime.
4 votesI’m not sure about the screenshots, they should be taken no matter which application is in use.
v4.2 now also has a Brave browser plugin.

Shortcut for assigning last chosen tag
I often repeatedly tag the same project for separate working times on the same day. (In review of past working week.) it would be great to have a shortcut to tag the selected time using the last chosen tag. This is similar to MS Office using F4 to repeat last formatting.
4 votesThe default shortcut is "L", which will tag selection with last used tag.

Make the icons solid rather than outlines
Put the icons back so that that on the stopwatch the Stop and Play buttons have solid symbols rather than outlines. They're too small and fuzzy for just an outline. Now I have to stop and really look. The way they were before this release I didn't even think about it. I know which to press. If you still want to have the little circles around them, that's fine. But at least make Play and Stop solid rather than just outlines.

Allow mid-tag text filtering in add tag window (not just tag picker)
I have a tag 1:
Client1: Project A
Client1: new Project B
Client3: Cool project Cand so on.
However, there are so many projects for that client that they exceed the number displayed in the drop down in the add-tag window. Instead of having to type Client1:C to get Client1:Cool Project C, I'd like to be able to type Cool and have it show anything that contains cool.
This would match how the tag picker currently wroks.
4 votesI think it does work this way. I mean if you type Cool it should find the tags which include this word.

Document support on MacOs
Document support on MacOs
It seems the tracker only takes websites into account on the MacOs tracker. I use Word, Sublime Text, Adobe CC, none of the files they open seems to appear in the Document Timeline. That makes it near impossible to have AutoTags3 votes -
Away window on linux
hi, I understand that a full linux version would be a lot of work, and that the tracking works with the client application and an interface can be reached with the server, but i'm missing a key feature: unlike on windows, it doesn't ask me to tag away time upon my return. Is it perhaps possible to implement an away time tagging window for linux?
Thank you!

A bug about recording "Form1.Designer.cs"
[Bug Report]
When I edited the "View Designer" in Visual Studio(C#),I noticed that it was "Form1.cs" rather than "Form1.Designer.cs" that was recorded in the "documents timeline" of Manic Time. But in fact, the "View Designer" is editing "Form1.Designer.cs".So the record is wrong.
By the way, thank you for providing the free version!3 votes
