I have a feature request ...

  1. Go off the record until configured time

    I work different shift patterns and use the computer for personal as well as business. I'd like the ability to go off record until a pre-configured time, i.e. until I start work the following day. My PC usage often goes past midnight, so go off record until tomorrow doesn't work. I'd like the ability to set a default go on record time within configuration, then within the system tray icon "Go of record until" menu have a 5th option called "Until xx:xx" where xx:xx is the pre-configured time.

    I'd also like a 6th menu option called something like "Until ??:??".…

  5. [security] add client verification of server certificate

    Allow the client to require a specific certificate or certificate authority on the server. Manictime carries a lot of potentially sensitive information for me. In theory if someone wanted, they could create a server that would accept any credentials from a manic time client and accepts the entire upload by pretending to be the server the client normally connects to. This would allow the client to validate that the server is in fact who is expected. And as a result stop this potential information leak.

  6. New & less intrusive Away Time popup mode

    Small suggestion for Away time.

    Issue: having that window opening each time can be frustrating if one wants to close it most of the times.

    My example: this issue for me occurs when I study with a PDF of exercises opened on the PC, so screen goes off after 5 mins but I take 10mins to do an exercise, when I come back to see the PDF then the window appears with 10min away time, each time I have to close it and that's annoying.   7. Visual Indicator for Gaps in Time During Day

    Please add a visual indicator for where there are gaps in time during a day greater than a certain amount of time (say 5 to 15 minutes) and allow the addition of a tag for that time.

  8. Allow user to permanently preserve screenshots in certain time frames

    The proposed feature could be like:
    Select a time frame, Right Click, choose "Preserve screenshots".
    And the screenshots within this time frame will not be automatically deleted.

    The reason I want this feature is because screenshots may provider more help other than logging times. Take the motive of this PR as an example. I had a research on one problem in our system recently and had some progress. However, the clues are still not enough to solve the problem, and the chance this problem occurs would be very rare so other works take advance of it, which may last several…

  9. Prevent the Escape key from closing the Notes window

    I accidentally hit escape when typing my notes on occasion and it stinks because I write quite long notes at times.

    This is more common for me because I type in Colemak and my "caps lock" key is an escape key.

  10. Please add Persian calendar to ManicTime

    Iranian people use Solar Hijri calendar:

    Microsoft added it to Windows 10 Calenders'. Please you do it too and let Iranian use ManicTime efficiently.

  11. Ability to Edit Entries and Tags from the Timesheet Window and to be Able to Set Entries as Billable

    I rely greatly on the timesheet window to see what I have completed workwise. It would greatly benefit how I use ManicTime if I was able to edit entries and tags from within the timesheet window and to be able to set entries as billable from the Timesheet window as well

  15. Computer Usage Report

    Provide the ability to create/share a computer Usage timeline. For example; I worked for 3 hours on an issue, I would like to be able to create/share my computer usage screen shots with an associate or customer.

    Screenshots are the same for all device timelines, you can find them in the screenshots folder (path is defined in Settings - Screenshots - Save to). You can also export activities for different timelines for additional data.

  16. Zoom in on Timesheet view

    It would be nice if I could make the font in the timesheet view larger. Using the scroll wheel would be most intuitive, but + / - buttons would be ok as well.

  17. Easier custom statistics: documents by wildcards

    Backstory:

    I'm using the free version of MT on Windows for self-tracking for over 3 years.

    Recently I wanted to see total time working on particular drawing, and I was able to do it like this:

    Statistics - Custom - Add - Timeline: Documents (at top) - Files (at left).

    Now at right there is a huge list of filenames gathered in these years, some with paths, some not, even some with quirky path formats like "(D:) drivename / path / deeperpath / file_name.ext" (with parentheses, slashes and spaces exactly like that).

    The filelist takes around 10 seconds…

  18. Show additional timeline bar for alternate time zone (just like in Outlook Calendar)

    This is in reference to the timeline bar in the Day view of the ManicTime UI. It would be quite handy to add a second timeline bar showing the time for a different time zone (similar to how Microsoft Outlook displays).

  19. Custom day start and end times

    I often stay awake doing stuff past midnight, but I'd still like to class my activities as being within the previous day; whatever they be.

    I'd find it useful if "day" tracking ends when my computer shuts down or something; or when I click a button to specify that the day is over.

  20. Button on Away window to mark that you weren't away

    The Away screen is very useful, but sometimes shows up when I am not away.

    Example 1: I am looking at the screen and thinking about something for a few minutes.

    Example 2: I am on a VOIP phone call

    I think it would be helpful if there was a button on the Away screen that said "I wasn't away".

    If you clicked it, it would allocate the away time to last activity recorded.
