Cisco PBX call tracking timeline
Record start/end time, number, name or other identifying information on a separate timeline
The Cisco system (and others, I'm guessing) have web portals (and hopefully APIs) for individual users to access their call records from a central place, but those would require authentication to a central system.
I was able to dial my attached phone from within Outlook and from a company web phone directory, a la Skype, though, so there is some sort of mechanism to control the physical phone itself from the desktop. Hopefully this control would also include the ability to read that phone's call log, rather than have to request permission against a centralized system where other user's data would be stored, too.

I really like this idea and too would want to see this against other VOIP/PBX solutions. We use GotoConnect (Jive) as our PBX.
@david Matten I think this is a great idea but expanded beyond just Cisco phones to voip / PBX in general.
I think supporting Asterisk as a first step is biggest bang for buck. For the record it's not really *phone* support, it's PBX / Phone *server* support we need to achieve this.
is related in that short of actual Asterisk / PBX / voip server support, it would allow to export from these to a CSV and import.
I'd ask anyone voting for this to consider voting for that one too.
Possibly these requests could/should be combined for more traction.

I really like the idea of tracking phone calls and texts, however I don't personally use a Cisco phone system. But if I did, I would definitely want this feature also. I personally use my work smartphone for all communication with my clients and would really like phone and text logs to tie in with ManicTime. I have looked into phone log apps for iPhones and was overwhelmed with software designed with the intention of spying. Sure would be the ultimate if ManicTime had an iPhone and Andriod app that did everything the PC software did and tied it all together. For employee monitoring it would be good too, to allow the employee to turn it on and off so the employer doesn't have the capability of tracking employees during personal time.
I'm an IT consultant and work with people like lawyers, biologists, engineers, etc. that have to bill their time and do use different PBX systems. So I am not just thinking of myself when voting for this feature.
