commentedI click onto tags then back to documents/applications to clear the tag. This is an irritating workaround that I do every day. I think that hitting esc or some other shortcut to clear the currently applied filter would also be excellent.

commentedThere was an X option before and it disappeared a few years ago. I wish it was back and do not understand why it was removed.

Kurt Fairfield commented I agree a quick clear button is required. Also be nice when you click on the filter line to add, the flyout opens instead of having to hunt for the little arrow button. Thanks for considering:)

commentedYes please fix this. It's tedious and inefficient to do both of these things: - Remove a filter (no X to quickly clear it) - Search multiple timeline rows for the same thing (switching timeline rows clears the filter, which must then be reentered)

commentedI think it's very obvious that we absolutely need a button to clear the filter!

commentedI have since learned that changing the active timeline row from e.g. Tags to AutoTags by clicking will clear the current Filter.

commentedI have a similar feature request to auto-clear the filter after tagging all the items showing in the filter, which is usually the main reason I use the filter.

commentedEvery time I need to clear the filter, I get annoyed that the "X" is not there anymore.
Why would such a useful feature be removed?

commentedI think there was at on point an X that cleared the filter and I miss it terribly!!
