Change note separator on QuickBooks interface
I love how MT allows me to take notes throughout a day, even as I work on different clients and projects, and each client's notes are combined into a single billable total with all the notes in QuickBooks. This is a great capability.
Small request...When I work several times throughout a day for a given client, and record a separate note each time, the individual notes are passed to QuickBooks combined but automatically separated by a semicolon (;).
I wonder if this feature could be configurable to suppress the semicolon, or specify a space, or a period. Personally, I prefer no special separator at all. Right now, I have to go through each billing to manually remove the semicolons. Often my notes are multiple sentences, so adding a semicolon between these sentences isn't helpful for me.
Love the product. Thank you!

Thanks again for adding this feature. I have a question.
I'm still wondering how to get the new feature to accept a regular space character as a separator. I've tried inserting a space in the box, enclosing it with different combinations of quotes, , ascii 032, and even tried inserting spaces at the start of my tags. It seems that I can separate notes with any character except one or two spaces. Any suggestions?
Many, many thanks for the great product!

We will make the separator configurable.

Don, It's great to know you have already stated this. I upgraded from QB2017 to QB2019 yesterday and imported a time sheet this morning and found that QB2019's IIF importer is now rejecting semi-colons in the Notes field. Error code is [15100]. Therefore, I had to global search and replace the semi-colons with a Pipe (|) symbol to get beyond it. After doing so, I ran into the next level of error, where QB is calling this the [15112] error. I haven't figured out a work-around for it yet.
Anyway, heads up to the awesome MT staff. Hoping you are already aware that QB2019 has changed their IIF importer. Hope we can all get through this one. Happy Thanksgiving!
