  1. Selective Server Sync (Employee Privacy enhancement)

    Currently an employee, working from home, tags all their time in ManicTime. But its currently an all or nothing approach when it comes to syncing to the server.

    Instead .. have an indicator bar on the top of the timelines that shows which segments are to be sync'd to the Server ... an employee selects time on any timeline .. right-clicks and chooses "Submit to Server" .. then that time segment is sync'd to the server based on the server settings of 'what to sync" (E.g. sync everything or specific timelines)

    This allows employees to keep track of their time…

  3. I want the minimum activity time to be 1 second

    I want the minimum activity time to be 1 second

    I want to analyze the number of times and time of the folder movement, the arrival time up to the target mail history, and improve and compare the data.

  4. Disable tracking for the weekend/till Monday

    Hi

    I'd like to have the option to pause Manictime from tracking by right clicking on the taskbar tray icon.

    We currently have the option to pause for:
    - 15 minutes,
    - 1 hour,
    - till tomorrow
    - till manually enabled again.

    I think that "Pause till Monday" will be a nice extra option to have to disable tracking during the weekend.

  5. Total should include timer

    Include the current task in the Timer as part of the Total in the bottom right. (And updating every minute would be fine. I don't need to see the seconds ticking off and using CPU).
    As a person keeping track of my time I would like to know if I've already worked the desired number of hours without reading the total at the bottom, and the time on the timer and doing the math myself.
    Perhaps there would be Completed: {duration} Timer: {duration} Total: {sum of Completed and Timer}

  6. Access Advanced Search from any view

    Advanced search would be useful when reviewing a Timesheet, but the keyboard shortcut CTRL+SHIFT+F only works when in Day View. While it is possible to navigate to Day View, open Advanced Search, then navigating back to Timesheet View, this is cumbersome.

  7. Add export option 'All timelines' instead of each timeline seperately

    By clicking [settings-symbol] -> 'Import,Export' it is very easy to export all data recorded. However you get 4 seperate files.

    There are multiple options to export data to xlsx or csv, but none of them puts the label, usage-, program- and document information next to each other in columns (just like the main screen of Manic time has these timelines above each other).The easiest way I have found to do this is to export each timeline (4 options: labels, somputer usage, programs and documents) seperately and put them together in Excel, but that is quite an exercise.

  8. replace tags

    My workflow is to search for keywords. Sometimes the keywords get tagged with the wrong tag, which I notice when doing a different search. I then need to "delete" tags, and re-tag everything in the search with a different tag. It would be great if instead of "Add tag..." I could "Add and Replace tag..."

  9. Add Ctrl-S shortcut to Edit tag

    When I edit new tag, and key in esc, the edit window is closed and the typed text is gone. In this case please ask to save or forgett the text. Another tip is save text in between with key ctrl-S, not only with OK button.

  10. Automatic prompt for call notes

    For the add in call log on Android, it would be nice to be prompted in some way to enter notes about the call which can make it easier to recall events and subjects when tagging later

  11. Hit "play" on a previous tagged entry to start timer again

    After working on Task A, you switch to Task B and create the new tags. Then, when you want to switch back to Task A, it would be nice if you could just right click on the previous block of time (or select from the drop down in the corner) to start the timer again for Task A. Instead of having to retype in the popup (just takes more time).

  12. Total billable time in Timesheet

    Provide totals at the bottom for Billable and Unbillable time as well as the grand total.

    Eliminates some toggling you have to do now to get these numbers.

  13. More Recent Tags options

    Expand the Settings -> Tagging configuration to change the way Recent Tags is displayed:

    1. Recent Tags (Globally)
    2. Recent Tags (Individually)
    3. Recent Tags (Filtered for the Application and/or Document being tagged)

    3 is huge. If the same Application and/or Document is always tagged the same - why do we still need to sift through the recent tags list each and every time.

  14. Request for additional schedule backup options

    I'm using ManicTime Pro.

    I have a feature request for scheduling backup.
    I make regular backups every day, including the screenshot database.

    The contents of the ZIP archive data contain daily screenshots from the day you start the backup.

    I want to back up only one day's worth of screenshots to a ZIP archive.
    This is to save space.

    I made an image of what I want to say, so I hope that you will see the PDF and install it as an additional function.

  15. Restart manic after update

    Twice now I have updated the desktop app and not had it restart until I rebooted or noticed it wasn't running. I caught it quick this time but the first time it was 3 days of lost tracking. If I have it set to start automatically with windows you would think restarting after an update would make sense.

  17. in app notification of upcoming license expiration

    I would love it if there was an in-app notification that my yearly license was about to expire, rather than just an email which tends to get lost. I find the yearly subscription very reasonably priced, especially with the 50% discount. Only issue is that while I use ManicTime all-day, everyday, I frequently miss or overlook the reminder email. A 'license about to expire' notification would be helpful for me and perhaps others.

  18. Selective Image Scrolling

    Allow any kind of selection on the timeline and provide the ability to scroll through just the images for what is selected optionally removing or re-including the selection covered by the shown image for the final log entry and the end of the process.

  19. Premiere Pro plugin

    Premiere pro is why i purhcased this program. It would be great if i could have a plugin for it that would breakdown the data for different projects that I'm working on and be able to assign different tags to different projects. I bill by the hour when I use this program, and so far manictime has been great for it!

  20. Add official releases to Chocolatey

    I want to pitch ManicTime to my company but we use Choco to install and update all our software. Currently some 3rd parties have added ManicTime install/uninstall scripts to chocolatey.org but they have to be updated every update and they are all out of date.

    The it's just a simple PS install script that doesn't really change (unless you change your install requirements) the only part that needs maintaining by you (once created) would be updating the install HASH each update. That could easily be automated into your release pipeline!
