  2. Native Mac client identical to Windows client

Now that I've switched back from Windows to the Mac after a good 25 years, I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it is to switch. There are many programs with almost identical features on the Mac. But I was also able to find good or even better alternatives for many programs that are only available on Windows.
Unfortunately not for what is definitely the world's best time tracking software. Of course, I immediately installed the Mac client for ManicTime, including a local server based on Docker.
Although your developers have really put a lot of effort into it, the…

  3. autotag abilty to remove screenshots for sensitive classifications

if the use of a banking web site is detected it could be a finance person access a company business account or a staff member accessing their personal bank account at lunch time. there are privacy protection issues and cyber security risks if the screen shots show bank account details.
the idea is that there is an option on the autotag that automatically deletes the screen shot but the url is kept.
similarly, a person that does the payroll may need screenshots deleted that relate to staff pay or personal bank account details.
it would be best if the set…

  4. Monitoring of applications running in the background (applications of our choice)

I am listening to music on Spotify but something else is open on my window screen.

Therefore, the application cannot detect the Spotify application running in the background.

Since we cannot monitor all background applications, in fact, if we select certain programs in the settings section and then say watch even if these programs run in the background, we can watch the applications we want running in the background.

I am waiting for your comments in this way.

  6. No backups when on battery

I use ManicTime on my laptop. On the very rare occasion I have had to be mobile with my laptop but the backup runs while on battery power which then causes the battery to deplete faster than I would like. It would be great for ManicTime to detect if it is running on battery or mains and only run the backup when on mains.

  7. Anyone interested in a FF extension that prepends the current container to the window title?

I've created a quick and dirty FF extension that will essentially do the above. I use ManicTime + Multi-Account Containers + Simple Tab Groups -- and that's been pretty good to keep a sprawling bunch of tabs in check, and has worked fairly well with ManicTime to autotag. However, I was really wanting to be able to autotag based on the current tab's container rather than just the group I was currently in.

For instance: have one tab group that represents an MSP I contract to with multiple tabs for their different clients open in that group in their own…

  9. Allow browsing screenshots while in "Add tag" dialog

I add notes to tags based on screenshots. As is, when the add tag dialog is open, I can't browse screenshots by hovering. I currently have to put my notes into an editor first, and then copy them into the tag. It would be really nice if the hover-to-show-screenshot feature stayed active while the add tag dialog was open.

  12. Edit (each) day start/end independently of activity

I work remotely. I may be doing work until 3 am, or wake up early and do work from 5am. There's no telling.

Add on to that, I may remote in and check on the next morning's meetings right before bed.

These 3 scenarios (late end, early start, random logins) combined completely mess up the statistics pages.

Shifting the day start time works some of the time, but not others.

What's worse, deleting the activity in the timeline doesn't affect the day starts/ends.

Right now it looks like I'm working 16 and 24h days because of these issues.

    I would…

  13. Adding a "tentative" attribute to tags that are entered in advance

It would be nice to be able to use ManicTime to plan my day as well. As it is now, I use a separate tool for planning what I'm going to do, and then transfer over all the tasks into ManicTime to track them. You can currently add tags for future work, but these estimates may end up being incorrect. And when you go back to manic time, there is no way to tell which tags you entered after working on them and which tags were entered before starting them. Allowing users to enter tags for future work, and not…

  14. ManicTime Version 2023.1.1.0 should start

When I try to start the program, it should not give me this error.

  15. Google Maps Location History or KML Import

KML with specified location data is generated via a standard URL. This url downloads the past 24 hours by default but can be fed additional info to get more https://www.google.com/maps/timeline/kml

    More info: https://github.com/JanLauGe/Maps-Location-History

I could see it importing directly but even if there was just a way to import a KML that would probably be helpful.

  17. Outlook Subject Line Tracking

I would like to be able to track the outlook emails per the subject line content. Example if I sent or reading an outlook email that the subject line contained "Ninebark" (project name) then I could create a autotag for it. The time spent reading or writing the email.

  18. access office 365 calendar within an organisation

The current Office 365 plug in cannot access a calendar which is shared with other people within an organisation. MS have removed the ability to output this as a .ics file

If it is not possible to have the plugin talk directly to such a set-up, having a built-in mini browser to allow you to log in to your Office 365 Account, view the calendar and export the text into the rest of ManicTime might be a workaround. This would also increase the functionality for other MS Office apps such as Teams etc. It would also increase functionality for other…
