Select and copy fields from timesheet
Since I'm registering time with Oracle PSA I have to reenter the timesheet data manually in the fields of the Oracle PSA Web Application.
It would help tremendously if it would be possible to select individual fields on the timesheet in MT and copy paste it into corresponding field of the PSA web Application.3 votesnot enough votes

Track paths in dayview
Filenames are listed; date and time is listed; but many filenames are generic, repeated, or simply not descriptive. Knowing where to find them will help to identify what project they relate to.
3 votesThis would be great, but sadly there is no silver bullet for this. There is no way we can get file path from open applications. All we can do is rely on APIs of the applications to get this information, but applications need to support this and we need to write this for each application separately.
So currently it works for some apps, mostly office apps and few others which have this displayed in the window status bar. -
Exclude window titles from Screenshots
It would be great to be able to exclude window titles from screenshots in addition or instead of process name.
This way I could still reference what kind of task I was doing on a work web site and not collect screenshots of my facebook slacking in the same browser.

save statistics page for later
currently, it is already possible to save the statistics graph as an image.
i would like to be able to save the data i'm browsing as an internal manictime file, that i could open later and see the same results, being able to tweak them. essentially, then, loading this saved file would open up the statistics page with the filters and results loaded.

Auto-tag based on other tags
For example I google ManicTime and click on the ManicTime website. I can tag the latter activity based on its URL, but how do I tag the former as "ManicTime, ~googling"? Sometime the keyword does not go into the title, so I can't use it to autotag. Both the document and application timelines are the same, so I can't use append tag. The absorb tag just has the same color of the activities in between in the timeline, not a tag that I actually want.
This is also useful when you want an autotag to be prioritized, that is no…
3 votesI don't quite understand the solution. Absorb was added just for this use case, but what you could do instead is make a normal autotag for google, with query part as part of autotag.
Select document timeline, in filter below type:
#"https:\/\/www\.google\.com\/search\?q=([^&]*)"
then click down arrow on the right of filter text box, Add to autotag and for title type:
{{1}}, googling
Then you will get autotags like manictime, googling....

Tag Reminder as New Window
I don't ever really see the little bubble notifications in the corner of the screen reminding me about my current timer, or to tag untagged time.
It would be nice if a new window could pop up, or a sound.
I have two monitors, and I am rarely looking at that bottom corner.

More rounding options (5m, 10m) and hide seconds when rounding
Would be nice to have more options in the "Round to" drop list (like 5m & 10m).
When rounding is enabled, the seconds could be hidden from the generated report since they are always ':00'.

Paint with tags
Select a tag from a list and just use the cursor to apply to timeline. Right now you can do similar, but in reverse order. Select the time, click Add Tag, select tag from list. My idea would be to have a list on the side of the main screen while using the Paint Brush tool. The tool and tag stay active.

Mark tags from tag source
I do not want to run ManicTime Server on my computer, but I want to see which tags originate in my txt file tag source.
My use case: I automatically export tags from my employer's database and book the hours tagged in ManicTime automatically via a custom personal tool. The only time where I have to manually intervene is when I chose a tag that does not exist anymore.

Allow MT to self-diagnose and repair the screen-shot function ...
Screen capture keeps falling over on all my machines. If MT could confirm the last save and run the recommended repair sequence automatically (and hidden) if the screenshot was not obtained, there would be no need for the Admin to do it every few days :)
I'm a fan of software keeping itself alive when the manual fix is the same every time.
Great software btw :)!

Email on large chunks of inactivity ...
It would nice if the unit would email (hidden) when it is sitting without an action for more than x amount of time, allowing management to see a break in activity.
3 votesIn v2025.1 overtime violations emails were added which you can set to daily. This might be implemented later on but for now this is declined due to not having enough votes.

Add Exif data to screenshots to improve windows search
It would be cool if the URL, window title etc is added to the Exif data of a screenshot file. By that it would be possible to search for screenshots by keywords through the Windows Explorer. Attached you find an example.

Add auto-tag based on "root" url/document/application. Ex. Tag every page resulting from news.google.com as "NotWork"
The title is pretty self-explanatory. But to elaborate; I am to the point where I have a ton of auto-tags for random urls when in reality most of them are a result of me browsing from another known source...like news.google.com, reddit.com, etc. So, it would really clean things up and allow for more flexible tagging if I could setup auto-tags to use the previous domain/document as filter criteria.
It would ideally work similarly to the "Stalker Option" in the StayFocusd chrome extension. With that option, I only have to add a few "root" urls like reddit, google news, facebook, etc.…
3 votesI don’t think this is doable. We would not only have to track current url, but somehow track the previous url.
Just blindly saying that the url before this one is previous would be wrong if for example you just switched tabs. Every time you would switch tabs, we would think that the url in first tab is previous url of the second tab. -
Automatic tag rules limited by time
It would be interesting have the possibility to limit a tag rule to a specific limit of time. Example of use: a common file name used to identify a specific project, but that in the future (or in the past) maight be used for other projects (eg default applications filenames like MS Office).

How much I usage each computer monitor/screen
I would like to see how much I use my secondary monitor vs primary monitor for ergonomic reasons. This would help me to change behavior so I use my primary computer screen more.

Ability to reorder saved Timesheet reports
My list of Timesheets (in the "Load" drop-down) is getting long and I wish there were a way to manage them better. Ideally, It'd be great if there were grouping options, but at the least, I'd like to be able to change the order of them in the list. Right now it seems that it just orders them by "create date" - with the newest ones at the bottom of the list.
I wondered if perhaps they were stored in a config text file and would be easy to reorder, but I didn't find any, so I guess they are…

Option to choose between dedicated tagging screen or standard screen to be opened when clicking on tag reminder
More often than not, I find the dedicated tagging screen more difficult to use than the standard ManicTime interface. It would be good to provide the user with the option to choose which one displays after clicking on the reminder that pops to ask you to tag the last untagged period of time (this reminder, by the way, is a killer feature from my humble point of view)
3 votesNot enough votes. Workaround is closing the pop up and open the app from the tray icon.

allow single tag to span midnight
Adding tags crossing midnight splits them into two instances of tagged time. I'd like to be able to easily estimate contiguous time spanning the day boundary, but it requires tagging twice and performing arithmetic.

Chargeability percentage in main view
Would be nice to have an option to show changeability percentage for each day somewhere in the toolbar. Additionally also in the reports for day/week/month/year etc.

Allow a statistic to contain values from multiple timelines
I would like to be able to combine values from multiple timelines into a single statistic so that they appear in a single combined bar in the chart.
Example:
Active Time + Label: Sales Meeting
I don't want to have to manually label all of my active time, but I do want to be able to see how much time I spend "working", which for me would be (all active time + specific labels).
