  1. Linux Client Wayland Support / Jetbrains plugin support

    I recently upgraded to Fedora 40 which has completely removed X11 support. I can't stand the GNOME desktop so I choose to use KDE Plasma. As stated in the Linux client, due to Wayland security enhancements it's not possible to read the windows which is required for Manictime tracking.

    The primary tools that I need to track are Jetbrains products (PHPStorm, PyCharm, CLion, IntelliJ, etc.). I know there is a Manictime plugin for Jetbrains products, but it too doesn't seem to work on Wayland.

  2. Windows binary for arm64 architecture

    With those fancy new Snapdragon X laptops having great battery time and great performance, it would be nice to be able to run Manic Time natively on arm64, so without x86 emulation.

    Since ManicTime Desktop already supports Apple chips, it's worth a try to "just change" the build target on Windows to arm64 and see.

    Looks like both .Net Framework and .Net support targeting arm64.

  3. Android app should allow filtering of applications

    Currently, the usage of all applications is tracked. That's a privacy issue. The user should have the ability to select which applications are tracked and uploaded to the server.

  4. Export more than 50 filenames/websites per report

    I need to be able to export more than 50 files in my weekly report. It's quaint that some people work on fewer than 50 files/week, but not my job.

  5. monitor

    Choose the Monitor to record.
    I would like to have to choose the Monitor which will be recorded screenshots. In my Setup i use 3 Monitors, but i just need 2 of them for working, and the 3 portable monitor is only for youtube video/music. I do not need any recorded screenshot of this monitor. So i want to choose only the big 2 monitors to record screenshots. This would also make the screenshot smaller and more handy for reproduce my work.

  6. Microsoft ToDo, Outlook Calendar, Planner

    It would be nice to have more and more integration with the Microsoft Office365 platform
    - ToDo
    - Outlook Calendar
    - Planner

    They are more and more aggregating things todo in one platform that we can then use to organize and use manictime to track time spent on it.

  7. copy from auto-tag to tags only for selected entry

    For auto-tags, i want to select one entry in the auto-tag timeline and copy only the selected tag to the tags timeline.

    Currently i can only copy all tags (of one or multiple days) with some added logic (only untagged time, etc). On some days i only want to copy some auto-tags to the tag timeline and fill in the rest by hand. This would be easier, if i only need to select an auto-tag and either via context menu or hot-key copy the selected auto-tag to the tag timeline.

  8. Integration with Paymo

    I use ManicTime to automatically track my computer activity and tag time spent on projects. The automatic screenshots allow me to reconstruct and document my work precisely, even when I am fully focused on a task, in a state of flow, and not tracking tasks manually in the moment.

    Our company uses Paymo to manage projects, tasks, and billing, so all my work hours must be reported as time entries in Paymo.

    I would like to request an integration that enables a smooth two-way workflow between ManicTime and Paymo, specifically:

  9. Allow Snapping and Screenshot Display Across All Timelines

    I would like to use screenshots together with the snap to interval feature, but this currently doesn’t work.
    When dragging a selection on the Time timeline (to use snapping), no screenshots are displayed.
    When using any other timeline, screenshots appear correctly, but snapping cannot be used. This makes it impossible to work with screenshots and snap to tagging at the same time.

    A possible solution would be to introduce rounding or snapping for tags themselves. This would allow users to select, edit or create tags on any timeline, and have tag boundaries snap to a defined interval (e.g., 5 minutes),…

  10. Integrate the used virtual desktop into the Excel export based on usage status.

    I organize my todo´s using virtual desktops in Windows 11. Since sureface changes seem to take forever to take effect, it would be very helpful if the currently used virtual desktop could be added to the Excel export. As this information is already available in the interface, this should be relatively quick to implement.

  11. Add a "Select All" checkbox in Search feature on ManicTime Cloud

    I use ManicTime Cloud website to bulk tag time entries. I use Search, type in my keyword, and then either click "Tag All" or "Tag Selected."

    It would be helpful if there was a checkbox for "Select All." If my Search returns 150 results, sometimes "Tag All" works fine. But what if there are 20 to 30 out of the 150 results that I do NOT want tagged? Then I have to manually select the ones I want tagged by clicking the boxes 120 times. But if I could click a box at the top for "Select All," and then…

  12. Support for Planview Project Advantage (formerly Sciforma)

    My company migrated from Jira Tempo to Project Advantage (formerly Sciforma) by Planview for timesheet management. https://www.planview.com/products-solutions/products/planview-projectadvantage/

    I would appreciate a plugin offering functionality similar to the Jira one: retrieving project and assignment tags, along with the ability to export timesheets to Project Advantage.

    Planview does provide a REST API, but the documentation appears to be accessible only to partners : https://success.sciforma.com/en/user/login

  13. MCP: expose the auto-tagged timeline

    I can use the MCP for application info and manual tags, but the auto-tagged data would give me useful data to work with when there is no manual tag applied.

  14. Clip Studio Paint File Reading

    Right now, ManicTime does not read the file names of things open in Clip Studio Paint...I know that's oddly specific, but it is one of the main graphics programs I use. I tried to set up auto tagging including keywords from file names to automate my time tracking, but about half the data for all my projects still has to be tagged manually anyway because it doesn't "see" them. I'm not exactly sure how Clip Studio is different that it doesn't recognize them, but I would like it to!

  15. Integrate with fitness-tracking apps like Garmin Connect, UA Record, MyFitness Pal, etc.

    I would like for ManicTime to go beyond "work tracking" and be my single "life tracking" app. To do so, it would have to gather up data from my various life tracking sources. For instance, I would like to have a view of my running/cycling/swimming training, my calorie consumption, and my sleep history next to my work history to see trends. (Some apps also track "mood"...that might be interesting to see along side work activity!)

  19. Usage Details Timesheet Report - Other Timelines (Outlook Calendar, etc.)

    The usage details timesheet report is incredibly powerful for feeding into a GPT (enterprise restrictions don't allow me to use the MCP yet), alongside a standard tag-based timesheet. The GPT is then able to scrub and augment the standard timesheet based on the more detailed usage details report.

    Can the usage details report also include the other timelines, most specifically, my Outlook Calendar timeline?
