I have a feature request ...

  1. Screenshot after switching window - optional/time delay

    I just noticed that manictime creates a screenshot every time the active window changes. this creates an unnecessary amount of images in some cases and it would be great have an option to disable for some processes or to control it with a delay (screenshot after X seconds still active..)

  2. Bluebeam Revu plugin (for PDFs)

    Bluebeam is the most common PDF viewer in the construction industry (and maybe others), it would be great if a plugin could be used to extract the filepath for autotagging.

  4. linux client time away tracking configuration

    Hi, I've just realize that among a lot of possible tweaks on windows desktop client, you can configure the away time.
    Unfortunantly I can't find this tweak on linux client. I would like to tweak it, even if I should find an XML file and change data in there.

  5. Open source translations

    Open source translations, - fast and correct - something like "Poedit" software, I am think that it is possible :)

  6. Adding to the program types of user ( administrator / user)

    • Possibility block the user from changing the program options
    • Permit / block editing a selected timeline

  7. Brave Browser

    I just switched to using the Brave Browser because Google Chrome is a resource hog. Brave doesn't show any screenshots in the Professional version of ManicTime.

  8. Sum of active time shown on analytics/timeline

    I review my employees time on web app screen analytics/timeline. I need to know the total activate time and look at the applications and files they had open. So it would be great to have the sum of active time to left or right of Computer usage bar

  9. Allow mid-tag text filtering in add tag window (not just tag picker)

    I have a tag 1:

    Client1: Project A
    Client1: new Project B
    Client3: Cool project C

    and so on.

    However, there are so many projects for that client that they exceed the number displayed in the drop down in the add-tag window. Instead of having to type Client1:C to get Client1:Cool Project C, I'd like to be able to type Cool and have it show anything that contains cool.

    This would match how the tag picker currently wroks.

    There is no option to change my email address in the web interface of manic time server

  11. Notification or automatic update of ManicTime Server

    When there is an update for ManicTime desktop client, it notifies you and let's you update.
    But there is no such mechanism for Server.

    Worse, since server is often run like a headless appliance, and may not often be logged into by sys admin (more likely office admins/time keepers) it's not necessarily likely that this would be seen by those who can do someithing about it.

    I'd like to see a mechanism where MT server will pop up a message for any MT server admin on login and (possibly) push a message to server admins via the MT desktop client…

  12. Shortcut for assigning last chosen tag

    I often repeatedly tag the same project for separate working times on the same day. (In review of past working week.) it would be great to have a shortcut to tag the selected time using the last chosen tag. This is similar to MS Office using F4 to repeat last formatting.

  13. A bug about recording "Form1.Designer.cs"

    [Bug Report]
    When I edited the "View Designer" in Visual Studio(C#),I noticed that it was "Form1.cs" rather than "Form1.Designer.cs" that was recorded in the "documents timeline" of Manic Time.But in fact,the "View Designer" is editing "Form1.Designer.cs".So the record is wrong.
    By the way,thank you for providing the free version!

  14. Save to Jira | Filter by Tag(s) | Save from filtered Timesheet

    Hi, I am continuing to really appreciate ManicTime application and I use it every single day.

    One thing that I run into that would make life just a little easier is if there was a way to filter the tags that will be included when saving to JIRA.

    This come into play when I need to do milestone or mid-month billing for some clients, but not all. I would then focus on getting all the tags sorted for the one project but not necessary have time to do all the projects.

    In this situation I would want to filter on…

  15. Update plugin samples for version 3.7

    I want to retrieve data from ManicTime using Tag Source plugin & then find some data patterns using Machine Learning.
    Currently this sample doesn't work. Please provide working sample for latest ManicTime.

    Can you place the name tags between double quotes.
    When you use multiple labels Excel cant recognized it.

  17. Disable password popup after coming back from away

    I'd like to disable the password protection popup after becoming active from away. Reason: In a company environment, the program can be used in a rogue-like fashion. Currently the password protection popup prevents the program from truly being hidden.

  18. minimum amount of time before recording

    I'd like to change the minimum amount of time that the application starts recording at. It is currently set at 5 seconds before it records, but id like to change it to 10 seconds before it records.

  19. Advanced Search - Remain Open Option

    The 'Advanced Search' Window should have the option for it to remain open after you select an item it found.

    This would be useful when you are exploring your timeline - looking for a specific event, and are trying to isolate it from a number of search results.

    Currently the window closes and you have to reopen, restart the search and find your context all over again.

  20. Automatic fill in-between tagged acitvities

    I use files and filter tags to categorize my time. after I've done this I'm often left with a lot of small strips of tagged time with a lot of small untagged time in between, as shown in the screenshot. In order to know the full time I spent on the activities I need to manually expand the tags to fill the entire time. It would be nice to have an option when we right-click on a selected area, to automatically expand the tags to fill the in-between untagged time according to the surrounding tag. There could be a treshold…
