Please consider adding ability to send screenshots from mac client to the MT server - looks like server is going to be a viable interface for editing the timeline so adding the ability to save screenshots from the mac would basically make it a full fledged client without having to port manic time in full - we have several macs in our office which we would love to be able utilize manic time on as well. Mac client supports screenshots. If you have any problems and do not see them on the server, please send email to firstname.lastname@example.org
Similar to the option to include Notes in the Timesheet Export, please include "Billable" in the export.
It would be good to be able to see both billable and non-billable lines (separately) in the export.
This can be done with Group by, Billable
Allow us to set default timesheet views. Every time the program restarts, I have to go into the timesheet and change the view that I want to see, "today/billable/time format". I would love to be able to set that as the default, so I don't have to change that every time. I'm sure other people have different settings that they would like to be default to. That would be very helpful, thanks.1 vote
I often select applications or documents from the summary listing in the "Tag time" view in ManicTime server, which highlights them in the timeline. But I always have to select the device from the dropdown, because the default selection (Server) only shows tags.
It would be great if there was an "All devices" option in that dropdown, hopefully as the default selection.2 votes
I think this should work ok now, it defaults to the first device.
I'm on Linux, and have installed the ManicTime tracker and the browser extensions for Firefox and Brave. However, the document titles only appear in the timeline when I am using Firefox. Brave usage only shows up in the Applications track.1 vote
When I ended work at 1.00 AM and turned off computer, and then turned on computer again at 20:00 - Daily Duration chart tells me, that I've worked 20 hours. It should count only time when computer is turned on.1 vote
You can use Settings, General, Time shift to shift working day. Set to for example 4, that would mean that days are counted from 4am to 4am and this should then work correctly.
I'd like to be able to reorder my pinned tags.
I find the "pinned tags" feature very helpful and have built up a long of these over the years. However, because this list has been built up over the years, my pinned tags list currently has a strange order, and there does not seem to be a way to reorder them without unpinning and re-pinning each of them.
It would be helpful if there were a simpler way to reorder these, such as drag-and-drop or an additional option in the tag editor.3 votes
I wish I could filter documents and apps to match only a single auto-tag, or pattern That would help to see more easily what I worked on when I worked for client X. Not sure, if this is already possible though... If yes, then please add some examples to the filter help page.3 votes
What you can do is use timesheet, for source choose autotag timeline, in filter type name of your tag so you only get this tag.
Then Usage report will show which apps were used during that time.
I will mark this as completed and can re-open it if this is not good enough.
Having an option/checkbox you can include in "Settings" to automatically open screenshot viewer on a second monitor would be really good, so that you don't have to press F12 to open it every the time.3 votes
If you open screenshot viewer on the second monitor and just exit MT, it will reopen in the same place next time you start it.

The Cursor blinks on the "Tags" input field, but typing do NOT appear there.
Have to click it with the mouse first, then typing works.
Hint: using a shortcut to open the "Tag last untagged time" works better, typing is possible without mouseclick.1 vote
I think this should work ok on the latest versions.
To be really fast with my time booking and navigation, I would prefer to have a better shortcut integration, for example to switch between days or to start a tag after the last finished tag in the day. Also flying through the screenshots would be nice on the keyboard. This would improve the efficiency very much I think.8 votes
You can set key shortcuts for prev, next day and also for tag last untagged time in Settings.
It should be possible to specify applications or websites for which no screenshots should be taken.
If you have applications or websites with confident information (such for example password tools or financial tools) it is not desirable that these contents are visible by others in screenshots.1 vote

I do a lot of work with systems that are Europe based and all of them have weeks start on Monday and end on Sunday (Which I rather like... The weekend, is the weekend, not the week book ends)
Without this capability I'm always fighting the Timesheet and can't use "Previous Week", for example. I always have to use a Custom and set the begin/end dates. I first looked for that feature in Settings -> Display. I don't know if there is a better place.1 vote
ManicTime will take Windows start of week by default, but this can be changed in Settings, General.
Please add the ability to export or view the timesheet notes by day rather than just combined in the last column. That way the tag notes can show what was worked on each day which is often required for projects.0 votes
This can be done with grouping by tags and days.
When a tagged entry it highlighted, ability to press "B" (or some other key) to quickly toggle the billable flag. Would also be nice to do so in the Add Tag window - currently you can type the Tag(s) and tab down to the Notes but there is no way to toggle the billable flag without pressing Tab numerous times to focus it (and it doesn't put dots or anything around it when you've focused it) or reaching for the mouse3 votes
On the server it is almost impossible to read the text in the screenshots. We are using the Linux client so the Server timeline is the only option. Need to be able to see any screenshot larger and save it somehow.1 vote

On cloud, click on gear icon in top right corner, then Change email.
In my firm, we use software that creates child windows that take up a serious amount of time during work hours. Unfortunately, manictime just shows them with the window_name (eg. Options, settings etc) that has no value to the manager.
It would be absolutely wonderful if all these child windows could be group under a single parent app and the time shown would correspond to the total time spent to the parent application.1 vote
I think it should work this way. Even if Applications timeline shows different titles, in bottom right part the application should be the same.
I don't fully understand the request, but we do have x64 bit version on the site now.
