allow single tag to span midnight
Adding tags crossing midnight splits them into two instances of tagged time. I'd like to be able to easily estimate contiguous time spanning the day boundary, but it requires tagging twice and performing arithmetic.

Option to choose between dedicated tagging screen or standard screen to be opened when clicking on tag reminder
More often than not, I find the dedicated tagging screen more difficult to use than the standard ManicTime interface. It would be good to provide the user with the option to choose which one displays after clicking on the reminder that pops to ask you to tag the last untagged period of time (this reminder, by the way, is a killer feature from my humble point of view)

Hit Y instead of mouse click when asked "are you still working on ..?
Hit Y instead of mouse click. I am often working on the key board. In order to confirm i have to move my hand to the mouse click the Yes and move back to the keyboard to continue. Hitting Y or Alt Y would be better i think

Timesheet filters
In the timesheets section, why aren't filter tags autopopulated? Like perhaps a tag cloud or something, or better a dropdown list. If I worked on a project a month ago, I don't remember what I tagged it, so I have to go back, and search not knowing exactly where to find that info. Please add a dropdown list, with a search, instead of the current implementation.
Also, when I select "This Year" as a date range, it selects this entire year, including days and months that haven't even happened yet. Surely this isn't usefull info. Please limit it to year-to-date.

Option to fix Screenshot alignment
While moving the mouse curser over the timeline, the position of the thumbnail often flips ... from the left to the right of the cursor.
This makes it sometimes very difficult to catch the screenshots.
I'd prefer am option to "lock the position of the screenshot" to ONE side of the cursor. Even if they get out of sight in extreme situations.1 vote -
Allow custom date ranges to be stored in statistics tab
Two similar but independent features for the 'Statistics' tab to add custom date ranges:
Allow the user to add new date ranges to the preset dropdown box.
These can be 'fixed' ranges with a start/end date set by the user and a label.
Additionally it would be great if the user could add 'relative' dates like "This week", etc.
This would be helpful for countries with financial years end partway through the year (Eg Australia)
It would also be useful for custom development 'Sprint' periods.Allow each 'statistics tab' to have its own date range that can be saved.

Ability to reorder saved Timesheet reports
My list of Timesheets (in the "Load" drop-down) is getting long and I wish there were a way to manage them better. Ideally, It'd be great if there were grouping options, but at the least, I'd like to be able to change the order of them in the list. Right now it seems that it just orders them by "create date" - with the newest ones at the bottom of the list.
I wondered if perhaps they were stored in a config text file and would be easy to reorder, but I didn't find any, so I guess they are…

Default to PM when entering 12
Very small change. When entering a start or end time in the Edit popup, can it default to PM when entering 12 as this causes great pain when getting it wrong as it wipes out other tags.
Thanks

How much I usage each computer monitor/screen
I would like to see how much I use my secondary monitor vs primary monitor for ergonomic reasons. This would help me to change behavior so I use my primary computer screen more.

SolidWorks tracking and Draftsight tracking of files names and types can have same names
SolidWorks can produce many files with the same name, but different extensions. Also track or extract the data from SolidWorks PDM such and checking out and in same file, create dates for drawings, elapsed time postable into the title block of the prints and include model create and duration of time on each version, user ID's tied to model, assembly and print data....

Minimize Screenshot viewer when main window is minimized
I use ManicTime on two monitors, with the Screenshot viewer full-screen on the second monitor. When I'm done with ManicTime and I minimize the main window, it would be nice if the Screenshot viewer minimized as well.

Export timesheet to any
Export the timesheet to any web-based time entry application by using web scraping like selenium.http://www.seleniumhq.org
4 votesUnless I mis-understood, this would logon to different services and post the data entries? If this is correct, then it is definitely outside of ManicTime scope.

Automatic tag rules limited by time
It would be interesting have the possibility to limit a tag rule to a specific limit of time. Example of use: a common file name used to identify a specific project, but that in the future (or in the past) maight be used for other projects (eg default applications filenames like MS Office).

Timesheet: Quarter Date Range

Fix Auto-Tag Issues
The auto-tag feature doesn't work flawlessly. When I'm working under 'Show only untagged activities' the auto-tags still show up with the rest of the untagged items even though they've already been tagged. This makes it seems like they haven't been tagged and would lead to re-tagging...defeating the purpose of auto-tag.

Merge tags / autotags
I'm finding that I have lots of near-duplicate autotags in my system. I would like to clean this up by merging similar autotags, but there's no easy way to do this. Ideal workflow would be something like:
Select two tags.
Click "Merge tags."
Optionally update tag title.
All rules from both tags now appear under the one remaining tag.23 votesThis is already available through the "Replace" feature in the auto tag editor. Just select the two auto tags you want to merge, write the name of the one that is not correct in the "Find" field, write the name of the correct one in the "Replace with" field and after you press ok button of the window a prompt should pop up asking you if you want to merge the two auto tags, just press ok and there will be a single auto tag with all the rules from both previous auto tags. Note that tags (and auto tags) have 3 properties that make them unique, the title, notes and the billable property. If you want to merge auto tags with same name where one is billable and one is not for example all you need to do is edit one of those to match the other and they…

Show URL in the applications list
I'd like to see the URL in the application list. It currently only shows the title of the page, but when working on a ticketing system, it can always be the same title, but at least with the URL we can quickly search for ticket ID. It would also be nice if we could have a contextual menu (right-click) option to open the URL in the browser (like in the documents list).

Add auto-tag based on "root" url/document/application. Ex. Tag every page resulting from news.google.com as "NotWork"
The title is pretty self-explanatory. But to elaborate; I am to the point where I have a ton of auto-tags for random urls when in reality most of them are a result of me browsing from another known source...like news.google.com, reddit.com, etc. So, it would really clean things up and allow for more flexible tagging if I could setup auto-tags to use the previous domain/document as filter criteria.
It would ideally work similarly to the "Stalker Option" in the StayFocusd chrome extension. With that option, I only have to add a few "root" urls like reddit, google news, facebook, etc.…
3 votesI don’t think this is doable. We would not only have to track current url, but somehow track the previous url.
Just blindly saying that the url before this one is previous would be wrong if for example you just switched tabs. Every time you would switch tabs, we would think that the url in first tab is previous url of the second tab.
