Track which Chrome profile is in use.
I use separate Chrome profiles for work and not-work. When I access a site like, "mail.google.com", I currently can't tell if it's for work or not. Having the added information about the Chrome profile would completely fix this.

Screenshots Text Searchable / OCR
I desperately want to be able to search the text within screenshots. This would make my life 100000x easier. As I switch between many clients I have to work my way through each screenshot working out what client that bit of time was for etc.

Machine Learning Tags
I'd like tags to be suggested based on machine learning, so I don't have to come up with rules, I work on many small projects, so creating rules manually is too time-consuming.
I'd like some machine learning to look at past tagging and suggest the correct tag (tags can be those found via the Jira integration, rather than AI making up text)
The machine learning should take into account adjacent tags, and how I've tagged things in the past. there should be a huge wealth of data.
It could also use the screenshots, often a client logo appears on those.19 votes -
trigger screenshot shortcut
The ability to trigger a screenshot on demand.
Sometimes I need a screenshot of something in case I need to refer to it later, it would be good if this could be in manic time instead of having dozens of windows Snip tools open.

easier access to tag editor
Current design: the tag editor is hidden away as the only item of an unnamed drop down menu at the left side edge of the tags timeline, which also means it takes two clicks to get to it. This also leads to a slightly confusing unused vertical area across all tag lines.
Proposed solution: add a tag editor button to the Tags group in the Day ribbon.

Copy one entry from advanced search result to allow pasting in tags timeline
I do a lot of manual tagging, and sometimes I can't quite remember what tag I used last time I did something half a year ago. I then use Advanced Search to find the previously used entry in the Tags timeline.
I would like to be able to right-click a single entry from the results list and press Copy, or select it and press Ctrl+C on the keyboard. I could then switch back to the main window, select a period of time and use the existing Paste operation.
I know that the activity Details list in the Day view has…

Responsive or mobile friendly design for Server Frontend
The Website is currently unusable from mobile. Adding a Tag or changing some values are not doable, timeline view is too small.
IT would be great to make at least a few features more mobile friendly.3 votes -
OAuth or OpenID Sign In Methods
Currently a lot of businesses are transitioning their workplaces away from an "on-prem" type environments to cloud-first identities. ManicTime allows only two authentication methods: ManicTime Authentication and Windows (Active Directory) authentication.
To truly allow ManicTime to operate using modern enterprise-ready authentication protocols like Microsoft Entra External ID or Google or Facebook (social identities) please consider these new options for OAuth 2.0 and or OpenID Connect authentication options.
This simplifies IT management and promotes SSO (single sign on) workplace solutions.

MCP: running-timer primitives
save_tag_activitiesrequires a closed interval. Agent workflows
that need to "start working on X now, stop later — possibly from a
different session or device" have no place to hold the in-flight
state. Workarounds (conversation-history search, sidecar state
stores, 1-second placeholder tags) are all brittle and duplicate
logic ManicTime should own.Proposed minimal addition to the MCP surface — no change to the
core tag data model, server-side state only:- startactivetag(tagCombination, notes?, startTime?) Record a running timer. startTime defaults to now.
- getactivetag() Return { tagCombination, notes, startTime } or null.
- stopactivetag(endTime?, tagMode?) -> TagActivity…

Disable tracking for the weekend/till Monday
Hi
I'd like to have the option to pause Manictime from tracking by right clicking on the taskbar tray icon.
We currently have the option to pause for:
- 15 minutes,
- 1 hour,
- till tomorrow
- till manually enabled again.I think that "Pause till Monday" will be a nice extra option to have to disable tracking during the weekend.
