maybe this could be solved by querying the conversation history folder in exchange server through EWS or through the existing Outlook Calendar Timeline integration - S4B puts call logs in this folder

Skype for Business is the largest player in the UCC space. It is however, not Skype. It is Microsoft Office Communicator rebranded Lync rebranded Skype for Business.
That said, my company uses it and I would love this feature.
