We're facing troubles with poor reviewing remaining estimate after company-wide manictime deployment with Jira integration.
The main trouble is that marking time is very easy but there is no feedback about remaining estimate.
I think there could be pretty easy solution in visualization of remaining work to see directly what is user updating and with which result.4 votes
Webex Teams is a widely used collaboration tool.
Unfortunately Manictime currently is unable to distinguish between different conversations4 votes
Allow for status changes and marking as resolution for the ConnectWise plugin would allow me to almost never have to actually use ConnectWise4 votes
Allow putting hyperlinks to Notes.
Make existing links in Notes clickable.4 votes
Current design: the tag editor is hidden away as the only item of an unnamed drop down menu at the left side edge of the tags timeline, which also means it takes two clicks to get to it. This also leads to a slightly confusing unused vertical area across all tag lines.
Proposed solution: add a tag editor button to the Tags group in the Day ribbon.4 votes
I am using a browser called Wavebox for multi-session, tabbed based browsing and it is Chromium-based. It is only tracked as an application with page titles but it is as useful as "document" (website tracking).
As a hotfix I wrote a user-script to add the page URL to the page title to help with autotags, but I am missing other features available with "document" timeline/websites.4 votes
On the advanced search screen, I'd like to be able to see the screenshots of the search results.4 votes
I would like to see tag shortcuts work on the results screen of Advanced Search4 votes
Skype gets tracked correctly when it is running, however not which conversation it is showing. Ideally MT would show which skype thread is being discussed and track against that project. Currently skype title just says "Skype" which is pretty useless. Is it possible to auto detect the chat that is active?

I'd like tags to be suggested based on machine learning, so I don't have to come up with rules, I work on many small projects, so creating rules manually is too time-consuming.
I'd like some machine learning to look at past tagging and suggest the correct tag (tags can be those found via the Jira integration, rather than AI making up text)
The machine learning should take into account adjacent tags, and how I've tagged things in the past. there should be a huge wealth of data.
It could also use the screenshots, often a client logo appears on those.4 votes
at the moment, a simple "copy" of a tagged time results in a single line containing
"tag" "start time" "end time" "duration" "notes without line break"
at the moment I miss the date here as well as line breaks that were originally inside the notes. For the time format I would not need seconds in the copy output.
maybe you could make the format customizable, or add date and linebreaks?3 votes
Instead of display the 'Tag picker' as a modal dialog make it a switchable selection in the 'Add tag' dialog.
The 'Add tag' could display a list of pinned or last used tags.
Below it there could be either a list of all tags/tag combinations or the 'Tag picker'. This selection should be reused, when displaying the 'Add tag' dialog the next time.3 votes
Would be nice to have more options in the "Round to" drop list (like 5m & 10m).
When rounding is enabled, the seconds could be hidden from the generated report since they are always ':00'.3 votes
I do not want to run ManicTime Server on my computer, but I want to see which tags originate in my txt file tag source.
My use case: I automatically export tags from my employer's database and book the hours tagged in ManicTime automatically via a custom personal tool. The only time where I have to manually intervene is when I chose a tag that does not exist anymore.3 votes
It would nice if the unit would email (hidden) when it is sitting without an action for more than x amount of time, allowing management to see a break in activity.3 votes
It would be cool if the URL, window title etc is added to the Exif data of a screenshot file. By that it would be possible to search for screenshots by keywords through the Windows Explorer. Attached you find an example.3 votes
Could be interesting to have a plugin that links the rememeberthemilk.com task manager with manic time so yo can auto tag your time or start asign your time with the tasks on RTM3 votes
It would be interesting have the possibility to limit a tag rule to a specific limit of time. Example of use: a common file name used to identify a specific project, but that in the future (or in the past) maight be used for other projects (eg default applications filenames like MS Office).
Option to choose between dedicated tagging screen or standard screen to be opened when clicking on tag reminder
More often than not, I find the dedicated tagging screen more difficult to use than the standard ManicTime interface. It would be good to provide the user with the option to choose which one displays after clicking on the reminder that pops to ask you to tag the last untagged period of time (this reminder, by the way, is a killer feature from my humble point of view)3 votes
I am currently using the Jira plugin and it works well with the configuration . However one little point that is annoying is that the history of used tags has grown to be years long. This includes the same tag but with notes. This is great for the same day, same week, maybe even month, but beyond that it becomes unwieldy as the newest, most current, unused tags are placed at the bottom of the tag list. If the tags could be the issues that match the Jira tag configs, plus any pinned tag, and then the history of tags be configured to only include tags used in the last X # of days, or weeks or time frame. That would be pretty useful.
