I have a feature request ...

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

  1. Restart manic after update

    Twice now I have updated the desktop app and not had it restart until I rebooted or noticed it wasn't running. I caught it quick this time but the first time it was 3 days of lost tracking. If I have it set to start automatically with windows you would think restarting after an update would make sense.

  2. Support tracking of document names in the Brave browser

    I'm on Linux, and have installed the ManicTime tracker and the browser extensions for Firefox and Brave. However, the document titles only appear in the timeline when I am using Firefox. Brave usage only shows up in the Applications track.

  3. Default Timesheet Settings

    Allow us to set default timesheet views. Every time the program restarts, I have to go into the timesheet and change the view that I want to see, "today/billable/time format". I would love to be able to set that as the default, so I don't have to change that every time. I'm sure other people have different settings that they would like to be default to. That would be very helpful, thanks.

  4. v2024.3.0.2 Issue with Simplified Chinese font rendering

    In version 2024.3.0.2, there is an issue with the Simplified Chinese font rendering, as it seems to be using Japanese glyphs.

  6. 2 basic essential features missing

    1. Click on URL to open a weblink

    2. Type the date you want to go to. Now I have to click 365 times to go a year ago. Are you joking? What if I want to go 3 years ago or more?

  7. Improve display of errors posting to Jira

    I love the fact that now each entry posted to jira has it's own row and it's own result.

    However if one of the entries lower down the list has an error you may not notice.

    I would like to see something eye-catching at the top of the list to say something like 1 of 23 entries failed to update.

  8. Display times as deicmal on timesheet view

    Hi,
    I'd like to display the times in decimal on the timesheet view.
    Because: when transcribing into workflowmax I could use the number pad for data-entry instead of having to reach for the colon key.

  10. Switch of screenshots in deployment file

    We need the ability to switch off screenshots at the creation of the deployment file if the user is not allowed to change settings.

  11. Store "Only billable" option value with saved Timesheet report

    I love the saved Timesheet reports and use them a lot. Once thing I noticed is that when you save a Timesheet with a name, all the criteria is saved - except the "Only billable" option. I have a specific report ("Billable - Last Week") which I use to create invoices for clients, but whenever I open it, I have to click the "Only billable" checkbox, since the fact that it is selected is not stored with the other report criteria.

    Similarly, if I then load a different saved Timesheet, which has "Only billable" unchecked, it is showing that it…

  12. Allow for "OR" Tag filters in Timesheet

    According to the KB article about Filtering Timesheets (http://support.manictime.com/knowledgebase/articles/686265-filter-timesheet) RegEx is supported, but when I tried to combine two separate tags into the filter (like "or"), it didn't work as expected.

    For example: I want to include in the same timesheet, entries from two separate tag groups. For instance, "Client, Project 1" and "Overhead, Task 1"

    If I only wanted to show the "Client, Project 1", I can do this filter:

    "Project 1"
    //
    let's say 5 entries are returned.

    if I do:
    //
    "Task 1"
    //
    let's say 2 entries are returned.

  13. move cursor in timeline using arrow keys

    when the cursor is over a timeline, hitting the right arrow key should take me to the next item in that timeline and show the corrsponding screenshot. This would be far more accurate than the current hovering using the mouse, which frankly is giving me shoulder pain at the moment.

  14. Timesheet Daily Notes

    Please add the ability to export or view the timesheet notes by day rather than just combined in the last column. That way the tag notes can show what was worked on each day which is often required for projects.
