I have a feature request ...

  1. create folder automatically in document timeline (when the DocumentType is set to Task or something like that in tracker plugin)

    i create a tracker plugin and i set the DocumentType to Task.
    but ManicTime would not create a Task folder, or put the file into a custom-created Task folder, it just put the file outside any folder.

  2. Linux Client Wayland Support / Jetbrains plugin support

    I recently upgraded to Fedora 40 which has completely removed X11 support. I can't stand the GNOME desktop so I choose to use KDE Plasma. As stated in the Linux client, due to Wayland security enhancements it's not possible to read the windows which is required for Manictime tracking.

    The primary tools that I need to track are Jetbrains products (PHPStorm, PyCharm, CLion, IntelliJ, etc.). I know there is a Manictime plugin for Jetbrains products, but it too doesn't seem to work on Wayland.

    It would be nice if the Jetbrains plugin could communicate with the Linux Manictime client for…

  3. Windows binary for arm64 architecture

    With those fancy new Snapdragon X laptops having great battery time and great performance, it would be nice to be able to run Manic Time natively on arm64, so without x86 emulation.

    Since ManicTime Desktop already supports Apple chips, it's worth a try to "just change" the build target on Windows to arm64 and see.

    Looks like both .Net Framework and .Net support targeting arm64.

  4. Make timesheet entries with zero hours faded so that entries with hours stand out more

    Recent UI changes have made it hard to distinguish between zero hour and non-zero hour timesheet entries. The zero hour entries used to be a lot more faded and easier to parse when glancing at the timesheet.

  5. Ignore private browsing on Linux (Firefox)

    The Linux client always seems to track Firefox windows in private browsing mode. It should ignore them by default.

  6. Android app should allow filtering of applications

    Currently, the usage of all applications is tracked. That's a privacy issue. The user should have the ability to select which applications are tracked and uploaded to the server.

  7. BUG: after updating description, tag is pushed to Jira as new tag

    This creates a duplicate worklog on Jira and potentially future synchronization issues.

    Also, tag deletions don't get pushed to Jira at all.

  8. Integrate with fitness-tracking apps like Garmin Connect, UA Record, MyFitness Pal, etc.

    I would like for ManicTime to go beyond "work tracking" and be my single "life tracking" app. To do so, it would have to gather up data from my various life tracking sources. For instance, I would like to have a view of my running/cycling/swimming training, my calorie consumption, and my sleep history next to my work history to see trends. (Some apps also track "mood"...that might be interesting to see along side work activity!)

  11. Jira plugin: auto-rename tags if respective Jira task was renamed

    When a Jira task was renamed, and there are already tags for that task on Manic, those tags must be renamed accordingly.

  13. Jira Tags - Merge the description of the jira tag with the auto-tag

    Allow tags that match the jira format to automatically link in the relevent Jira description of the issue for easier understanding of the feature that was worked on.

    When hovering over/viewing #PROJ-123

  15. Additional Rounding for Save Tags as Timesheet Task in FreshBooks

    In the Save Tags as Timesheet Task in FreshBooks window, there is not an option to round to 6 minutes (or 0.1 HR). Having that option to export tags to FreshBooks would mean not having to further edit in FreshBooks.

  17. Disable tracking for the weekend/till Monday

    Hi

    I'd like to have the option to pause Manictime from tracking by right clicking on the taskbar tray icon.

    We currently have the option to pause for:
    - 15 minutes,
    - 1 hour,
    - till tomorrow
    - till manually enabled again.

    I think that "Pause till Monday" will be a nice extra option to have to disable tracking during the weekend.

  18. Add export option 'All timelines' instead of each timeline seperately

    By clicking [settings-symbol] -> 'Import,Export' it is very easy to export all data recorded. However you get 4 seperate files.

    There are multiple options to export data to xlsx or csv, but none of them puts the label, usage-, program- and document information next to each other in columns (just like the main screen of Manic time has these timelines above each other).The easiest way I have found to do this is to export each timeline (4 options: labels, somputer usage, programs and documents) seperately and put them together in Excel, but that is quite an exercise.

  19. replace tags

    My workflow is to search for keywords. Sometimes the keywords get tagged with the wrong tag, which I notice when doing a different search. I then need to "delete" tags, and re-tag everything in the search with a different tag. It would be great if instead of "Add tag..." I could "Add and Replace tag..."

  20. Add Ctrl-S shortcut to Edit tag

    When I edit new tag, and key in esc, the edit window is closed and the typed text is gone. In this case please ask to save or forgett the text. Another tip is save text in between with key ctrl-S, not only with OK button.
