  1. Timesheet reports - highlight selection and calculate sum in status bar like Excel

    This is me being lazy and generating a month report for example and clicking different entries for a total time of those highlighted entries.

    After generating any type of report, I can either shift click a start and end point to multiple select or press CTRL and choose a number of different entries. It would be really good the total of this selection was calculated in the status bar, similar to Excel.

When I add a tag Start time displays as for example 08:22:33 and End time as 09:41:00 (HH:MM:ss, the long time format). I do not need the seconds so the short date format (HH:mm) would have been fine but that option is not available. What is worse: when start/end time must be changed the colon button may have to be used four times to make amendments; you cannot use the decimal key to distinguish between minutes and seconds.   5. Make Jira Tags from the Jira Plugin configurable

    Currently I have autotags which can generate tags of the format:
    JIRAKEY, #JIRAKEY-999
    However these don't match the tags from the plugin which are
    Jira Name, #JIRAKEY-999 Description of issue number nine nine nine

    I would like to be able to specify how tags are formatted like so:
    tags: {PROJECT-KEY}, #{ISSUE-KEY}
    notes: {PROJECT-NAME}, {ISSUE-NAME}

    In order for the save work to jira feature to work I'd need to have #{ISSUE-KEY} somewhere in tags, so perhaps a validation warning to that effect would be great.

  7. Integrate with fitness-tracking apps like Garmin Connect, UA Record, MyFitness Pal, etc.

    I would like for ManicTime to go beyond "work tracking" and be my single "life tracking" app. To do so, it would have to gather up data from my various life tracking sources. For instance, I would like to have a view of my running/cycling/swimming training, my calorie consumption, and my sleep history next to my work history to see trends. (Some apps also track "mood"...that might be interesting to see along side work activity!)

    there is an obvious correspondence here

    Perhaps there is some API to get the list of tags on the currently displayed thread or mail blotter

    If so, then expose those within ManicTime in some way to match on selected ones via AutoTagging rule

  9. Cisco PBX call tracking timeline

    Record start/end time, number, name or other identifying information on a separate timeline

    The Cisco system (and others, I'm guessing) have web portals (and hopefully APIs) for individual users to access their call records from a central place, but those would require authentication to a central system.

    I was able to dial my attached phone from within Outlook and from a company web phone directory, a la Skype, though, so there is some sort of mechanism to control the physical phone itself from the desktop.   10. Detect remote desktop connections

    It would be nice if ManicTime could detect that a computer is controlled through a remote desktop connection such as through TeamViewer, and give the option to not track that time as active.

    I have ManicTime installed on both my home and office computer, and sometimes need to do something on my office computer remotely when I'm at home. In effect, this time gets counted as doubly active, because my home ManicTime client will detect that I'm working in the TeamViewer application, while the office ManicTime client thinks I'm actually on the computer there and working in the local applications.…

  12. Ignore 'all-day' and 'free' events on Google Calendar

    I've just configured a Google Calendar timeline, and it's showing 'All-day' events, and events I have marked as 'free'. I'd like the option to hide events based on whether they're all-day, or whether I've said 'yes', 'maybe' or 'no', along with the usual 'busy'/'free'. Ideally I'd like to have only events that are not all-day and I've either said 'yes' to or marked as busy.

  13. clipboard tracking

    To speed up tagging time with notes and to have another tool to see what I was doing, it would be nice to have a timeline that is tracking what was in the clipboard. Then it would be nice to be able to access what was in the clipboard during a time being tagged, so that as I am entering in notes for the time tagged I can paste items that were in the clipboard.

  14. Merge multiple tagged times together

    It would be nice if I could merge multiple selected times with same tag (with all the notes concatenated together)

    Maybe triggered by an right-click option after selecting a time frame

    Or an option to use the concatenated notes while adding a new tag over a timeframe that contains already tagged time

    So it would be possible to constantly add short notes everytime during the work, and later tag the whole time, joining the already taken notes together

  15. Import CSV to new timeline

    Hey, i'd like to have a function to import a CSV file to a new timeline.

    For example one could export all emails from one folder of thunderbird to a CSV file. This file would include subject, from, to, date time. After import to ManicTime each emails would be shown in an additional timeline with a configurable duration of x min.

    Another example: Export the call log from your phone / PBX, with phone numbers, date, start, end time and import it to ManicTime.

    Would be very helpful :-)

  16. Pomodoro Timer steals focus: use system tray pop up as an option

    Currently, the pomodoro timer opens a window that steals the focus from the current application.
    While this might be good to signal the break, it can also affect current work. Especially when working with graphic or engineering applications where a single command might take several minutes (e.g. using a polygon mask in a graphics program), this might jeopardize the work of the user, making the technique inefficient.

  18. Auto ignore auto tags smaller than X seconds

    Sometimes, I have several project windows for different customers open at once.
    When I switch windows and get the wrong one, I switch again to the right one.
    It would be cool if the resulting auto tag could be ignored in the same way as gaps can be filled.

    This could either be a global setting or a per-auto-tag setting.

  20. Colour code URLs that differ by port with different colours.

    When viewing my document timeline I see all the same colour for various client work, this is because it all occurs on the localhost domain (but each client has a different port) so it would be great if urls that differed by port could also differ by colour.
