Allow user to permanently preserve screenshots in certain time frames
The proposed feature could be like:
Select a time frame, Right Click, choose "Preserve screenshots".
And the screenshots within this time frame will not be automatically deleted. The reason I want this feature is because screenshots may provider more help other than logging times. Take the motive of this PR as an example. I had a research on one problem in our system recently and had some progress. However, the clues are still not enough to solve the problem, and the chance this problem occurs would be very rare so other works take advance of it, which may last several…

Prevent the Escape key from closing the Notes window
I accidentally hit escape when typing my notes on occasion and it stinks because I write quite long notes at times.
This is more common for me because I type in Colemak and my "caps lock" key is an escape key.
3 votesThere is not much support for this one. I don't think it is a good idea since it breaks the classic Windows Esc closes window...

Zoom in on Timesheet view
It would be nice if I could make the font in the timesheet view larger. Using the scroll wheel would be most intuitive, but + / - buttons would be ok as well.

Custom day start and end times
I often stay awake doing stuff past midnight, but I'd still like to class my activities as being within the previous day; whatever they be.
I'd find it useful if "day" tracking ends when my computer shuts down or something; or when I click a button to specify that the day is over.
3 votesSounds like Day start shift.

Button on Away window to mark that you weren't away
The Away screen is very useful, but sometimes shows up when I am not away.
Example 1: I am looking at the screen and thinking about something for a few minutes.
Example 2: I am on a VOIP phone call
I think it would be helpful if there was a button on the Away screen that said "I wasn't away".
If you clicked it, it would allocate the away time to last activity recorded.

add file path to file reports & group by tag(s)
First... I LOVE YOUR PROGRAM! Thanks. :)
Here's something that would make it even cooler...
I would like to be able to analyze sub-tasks related to the individual fils I'm working on. Files often have the same naming structure so the reports don't show which project it was part of. If files are grouped and reported with the path or could be grouped by the tags I could analyze which files were being worked on for how long on a project. This would be too difficult to tag manually because I may be working between many files for short periods…

Cell phone app to capture cell phone usage as activity
I depend heavily on ManicTime for capturing billable time but for phone calls I often end up missing some billable hours.
I'm very fond of both products/companies so integration between ManicTime and a mobile operator like Ting might be a nice marketing boost to both companies. Further, Ting already has Android and IPhone apps you could piggy-back on. I've sent this suggestion to them as well with a pointer to ManicTime web site.
Such an app could be as simple as a prompt for the call's purpose after calls. A phone number catch/ignore list would minimize annoyance factor. Input via…

Ability to set up a custom image (thumbnail/logo) for tagging in the timeline, instead of plain colour as it is now

Ignore part of the header of an application
Some applications (Adobe apps in particular) change their headers in response to the zoom level of the active document (ex. Indesign can have a header saying "New document 1.indd @ 100%" and "New document 1.indd @ 50%" etc for the same document).
Navigating a document while zooming in and out generates a LOT of entries in the Application view that could have been one single entry. It would be nice to be able to tell ManicTime to ignore certain parts of a header to produce less header spam.
Something as simple (though clunky) as "Ignore [@ 50%, @ 100%, @…1 votenot enough votes, but it is an interesting feature. The problem is that each app behaves in its own way so this would need to be per app, which means it can't be a simple solution.

Allow range of hours, not just days
In custom date range selection, allow also to choose the time of day, i.e. yesterday (or other date) between 1-3 pm.
Thanks!

Record screen video when an application runs
Create video recordings for certain applications. For me, I want to record all of my Skype calls automatically (audio and video). Currently I do this manually with SnagIt, but sometimes i forget.

Thunderbird Lightning timeline similar to Outlook
Add a timeline for Thunderbird Lightning calendars similar as is currently possible with Outlook. The events should be stored in a sqlite database (local.sqlite) so they should be rather easy to extract.

Files paths for Revit Models
I'd expect Revit would be similar to AutoCAD to program in, and would be very helpful to people in the building design industry.

Google Maps Timeline Plugin
A "Google Maps Timeline" plugin would be very practical. So I do not only see what I have done on my laptop, I also know where I was at that time. Also when I have no other timeline (Laptop is off) I can see later that I was travelling. This gives me a better idea what I have done the whole day.
1 voteThat would be great, but Google timeline is sadly not accessible to external applications

Show which type of data will be deleted in confirm screen
Currently when you highlight a timespan in the timeline you get the option to delete a number of things: tags, applications, screenshots, everything, etc. Once you clicked you get a confirmation dialog with title "Delete" and text "Are you sure?".
It would be better if the type of data you're deleting is shown once more in the title of this dialog.
(It's mostly "screenshots" and "delete all" which scare me because they're next to each other in the menu, and I'm not sure the "Undo" function restores screenshots once deleted.)

Enable SSL Support for ManicTime Server on Linux
Please add SSL Support for ManicTime Server on Linux. The current configuration file has a reference to protocol using HTTPS but no way to configure HTTPS with a Certificate.
6 votesWe do offer ManicTime cloud with SSL, as for locally installed servers, this can be done with reverse proxy on Linux and with certificate and through our setup on Windows.

Track Google Drive and OneDrive folder path too - Document Timeline
I use AutoTagging on used file folders on my hard drive. However, from files opened on my synchronized Google Drive and OneDrive etc. the folder isn't tracked. It only shows the file name on the documents timeline.
5 votesManicTime can only track path per application, not per path.

Manual overwrite
Allow a designated tag to overwrite another tag. Suppose you've tagged Task A from 10:00 to 10:15. Then you look and you see that you took a phone call - Task B - from 10:05 to 10:10. If you just tag Task B from 10:05 to 10:10, you'll have that portion double-tagged. But I'd like to manually overwrite so that Task A is broken into two segments (10:00 to 10:05 and 10:10 to 10:15, totaling 10 mins) and Task B overwrites the time for 10:05 to 10:10, totaling 5 minutes.
