  1. Highlight entries in time sheet

How about a feature in which we could highlight particular entries in timesheets/reports, and keep those highlighted so that when I click on "generate report" it already has those entries highlighted from last time.

  2. Stacked Bar Chart

I just started using manic time and I'm really enjoying it. I'd like to be able to create a stacked bar chart to give a better visual representation of my day.

  3. MySQL as a database backend

I would find it very helpful if manic time supported MySQL as a database backend.

In the environment I work in all of our backend systems already use MySQL and it would be much more convenient if Manic Time did too so that we could easily query data across our databases.

  4. detect activity of programs

Some jobs require rendering or export session, during this time the program still working on the project even if i dont move the mouse, but Manic time register as "away". It would be nice if the tracking remain active during the programs activities.

  6. Vertical Timeline for Side of Screen

I think it would be really cool if the timeline could be represented vertically. This way, I could keep the MT window up on my screen at all times as a thin window on the sides. Think something along the lines using Windows Snap to split your screen, then making the ManicTime window very narrow. See screenshot. Like that, only timelines are vetical. Yeah. =)

  7. auto hide timeline

I have 8 timelines and some of them are not important or empty. Idea is on dropdown for timeline \/ allow some additional options like:
    1. shrink height or dissapear if necessary
    2. auto-hide if empty
    3. priority - always show
Also, font should adjust if resized.

  10. Stop watch

Could you add a little desktop window (floating) that could be displayed as permanent window on the desktop. The additional window shall display a selectable number of tags in a list (preferable those that are already pinned).
When someone clicks an list item representing a tagged time it starts the stop watch, if i click again it stops the stop watch and inserts the expired time with the tag clicked. Using this method some clicks that i currently need to do to start the stop watch via task menu.

  12. If you forgot to name the working file/document

Add the ability to rename the selected files.

For example, I spent the whole day working in Photoshop, but forgot to call the document (by default it is called Untitled-1).
I choose the right panel Untitled-1 line, click the right mouse button and click renames all Untitled-1 by desired mask.

It would be very convenient, I think.

  13. Magnifying Cursor

While it is relatively easy to 'zoom in' on the timeline to see individual slices, I'd like to have a 'magnifying cursor' UI element, which magnifies the timeline area locally around the cursor to ease selecting a slice, without having to zoom & drag the whole timeline.

  15. Track several tasks simultaneously

Sometimes, it is possible to perform a bit of multitasking. A task may require attention every 5-10 minutes, in which time another similar task may be performed. - Both tasks are billable.
An example is server maintenance for a client (or several clients). Installing and configuring updates, software, etc. - Often such tasks are "fragmented" and may be performed in parallel.
It would be great to be able to have an option in Settings to switch on "Track Multiple tasks simultaneously", which enables several stopwatches in parallel. - This saves me from having to manually tracking it and manually adding…

  16. Interface Skins and Classic Style UI

The old ManicTime looked so much better. I've been using only the classic 2.5.4.0 version as the tags, colours and theme are just so much better to read and represent. I really hate the new UI, sure it's easy enough to use the old version but after sometime lots of bugs and features will be left out to those who want to stick with the classic UI. Please offer Classic style and a Skins options for users, most great programs and techie programs have skinnable options. Nobody wants to be forced using a UI they dislike especially the new look…

  17. Tag/Comment the entire day of work

It would be useful to have the possibility to tag or comment the entire day in order to remember additional facts happened during the day.

  18. Divide time that is tagged with multiple tags

Imagine today I worked 14 hours on something that benefits client A and client B. I tagged this time with both tags, "Client A" and "Client B".

Currently ManicTime's timesheet tells me I have worked 28 hours today, which is oviously not true.

I would like to show the time as 7 hours for tag "Client A" and 7 hours for tag "Client B".
