read GMail labels as AutoTags
there is an obvious correspondence here
Perhaps there is some API to get the list of tags on the currently displayed thread or mail blotter
If so, then expose those within ManicTime in some way to match on selected ones via AutoTagging rule

Sub-Totals for Same Tag
For my time reporting, in some cases I need time broken down by tag-level-1, and in some cases by tag-level-2, this may also vary by phase of project, so after initial build, support tasks need more granular reports (tag level 2), but during build the time needs to be reported in aggregate (tag level 1).
To address this it would be great if a sub-total row for all items of the same level-1 tag was an option I could turn on.
Workaround is to keep toggling tag level, (which relates to: http://support.manictime.com/forums/222041-feature-requests/suggestions/9913263-timesheet-basic-advanced-ui )This ticket also would probably address my…

Include Autotags in Statistics
Right now, the Statistics reports doesn't include Autotags - you have to copy autotags to regular tags in order to get them to show in Statistics. This is counterintuitive and not user-friendly: the whole purpose of autotags is to automatically tag certain activities, and not to include them in Statistics reports means those reports are inaccurate.
I have ALL my activities autotagged, and then monitor a statistics report to see how much time I've actually spend working as opposed to slacking off, surfing the web, etc. If I haven't put in enough time then I can decide to stay later.…

Alphabetize Recent Tags
I have a lot of active tags at any point in time, so I show 40 recent tags (Settings->Display). It would be helpful if those tags appeared alphabetically.

Button on Away window to mark that you weren't away
The Away screen is very useful, but sometimes shows up when I am not away.
Example 1: I am looking at the screen and thinking about something for a few minutes.
Example 2: I am on a VOIP phone call
I think it would be helpful if there was a button on the Away screen that said "I wasn't away".
If you clicked it, it would allocate the away time to last activity recorded.

Affinity Plugin
Affinity software by Serif has been growing as an alternative to Adobe graphics applications. It would be great to have document tracking for Affinity apps like there is now with Adobe's.

Ability to define labeled color sets
Instead of having to choose each color from the complete color range, have the possibility to defined labeled colors, that can be used in tags/autotags/folders.

Pomodoro Timer steals focus: use system tray pop up as an option
Currently, the pomodoro timer opens a window that steals the focus from the current application.
While this might be good to signal the break, it can also affect current work. Especially when working with graphic or engineering applications where a single command might take several minutes (e.g. using a polygon mask in a graphics program), this might jeopardize the work of the user, making the technique inefficient. Therefore I'd like to suggest to implement an option where a system tray popup is shown instead. When the user clicks the pop up, the window to tag the break is shown (as…

Track several tasks simultaneously
Sometimes, it is possible to perform a bit of multitasking. A task may require attention every 5-10 minutes, in which time another similar task may be performed. - Both tasks are billable.
An example is server maintenance for a client (or several clients). Installing and configuring updates, software, etc. - Often such tasks are "fragmented" and may be performed in parallel.
It would be great to be able to have an option in Settings to switch on "Track Multiple tasks simultaneously", which enables several stopwatches in parallel. - This saves me from having to manually tracking it and manually adding…7 votes -
Centralized Management of Client Settings
We need a way be able to have Setting "Profiles" that are centrally stored and able to be assigned to users or groups of users (or everyone of course). Then the client would check in from time to time and obtain the latest settings.

Statistics or weekdays and hour of a day
Hello,
I would like to be able to see usage statistics about different weekdays (i.e. Monday, Sunday...) in a given period (i.e. last year).
I would also like to be able to see usage statistics about different hours of a day (i.e. from 12:00 to 13:00) in a given period (i.e. last year).

Configurable time intervals in Timeline view
Whilst it's currently possible to zoom in/out in the Day\Timeline view, you have to do this manually and it can be very granular so you can end up recording to the second.
I would like to see an option to be able to configure the default view e.g. 5min, 15min interval etc.
This would ease recording and categorising tags for organisations that have rules around minimum billable time, or minimum time recorded intervals e.g. 5 or 15mins particularly when auto-tagging may nto be appropriate
NOTE: workaround for recording time as whole mins can be found in this request "Tagging snapping…

Auto tag function based on file placement and Support for archicad
Hi.
If manictime could tag time based on the placment of the file i am working on that would be awsome. I have several projekts, and each project has an own folder with subfolders in windows. On the projeckt there is alot of differnt files, with the onley thing common that they are all placed in the same project folder.
So an auto tag function based on file placement woult be great!Could you add support for Graphisoft Archicad. It dosent show up in the documnet line correct in manic time.

Let's Encrypt Certificate Support
It would be great if you could integrate an Let's Encrypt Certificate request/renewal functionality for the ManicTime server so it automatically can use them.

Linux Client - Fully Local UI
Currently, the Linux client lacks its own UI - it must be used with a separate server to act as its UI. The problem is, if you're already using a remote central server to coordinate multiple clients you can't run that server locally - and having to depend on a remote server as the only form of UI makes it impossible to work while offline (i.e. on flights, out in the field, etc). Furthermore, the only way to use screenshots is by syncing them - which will consume an immense amount of additional data, which may not be feasible if…

open document from advanced search of application timeline
I would like to be able to search the Applications timeline (for words appearing in a web page title, etc.), find a web page I am looking for, right-click on that page, and then Open the associated URL in my browser. Right now an Open option appears on the right-click menu for the found items, but it is grayed out.

Tags Groups/Categories
I would like to group some Tags together for some calculations. This could be done either by Grouping Tags to one Aggregating Tag, and thus allowing Tree-Like structure, or by placing Tags to certain Categories (Forest-Like structure).
