  1. Installation without admin rights

    ManicTime needs admin rights for installation which is restricted in lots of companies. But there are software which can be installed without admin rights like Visual Studio Code. It is installed in C:\users\youruser\AppData\Local\Programs

    It would be very nice if manic time could do the same if it's possible.

  2. Add Display Setting for First day of Week - Sunday, or Monday

    I do a lot of work with systems that are Europe based and all of them have weeks start on Monday and end on Sunday (Which I rather like... The weekend, is the weekend, not the week book ends)
    Without this capability I'm always fighting the Timesheet and can't use "Previous Week", for example. I always have to use a Custom and set the begin/end dates. I first looked for that feature in Settings -> Display. I don't know if there is a better place.

  3. Named virtual desktop autotags?

    There is a new feature of Windows 10 2020 to name the virtual desktops. It may be a helpful in reporting.

  4. Screenshots on Server need Zoom, Save and Copy to Clipboard

    On the server it is almost impossible to read the text in the screenshots. We are using the Linux client so the Server timeline is the only option. Need to be able to see any screenshot larger and save it somehow.

  5. Timesheet Daily Notes

    Please add the ability to export or view the timesheet notes by day rather than just combined in the last column. That way the tag notes can show what was worked on each day which is often required for projects.

  7. Manictime for iOS would be HEAVEN

    I have a dream, that one day, manictime will be available for android and iOS on iphone and ipad!!!! The whole cloud syncing thing is the greatest tech invention of the 21st century. Please developers, make it happen!!!!!!! (this is a unique application I have never found anything comparable, keep up the great work guys).

  8. Keyboard shortcuts for Billable flag

    When a tagged entry it highlighted, ability to press "B" (or some other key) to quickly toggle the billable flag. Would also be nice to do so in the Add Tag window - currently you can type the Tag(s) and tab down to the Notes but there is no way to toggle the billable flag without pressing Tab numerous times to focus it (and it doesn't put dots or anything around it when you've focused it) or reaching for the mouse

  9. Access Advanced Search from any view

    Advanced search would be useful when reviewing a Timesheet, but the keyboard shortcut CTRL+SHIFT+F only works when in Day View. While it is possible to navigate to Day View, open Advanced Search, then navigating back to Timesheet View, this is cumbersome.

  10. Customizable Toolbar (like the Quick Access Toolbar in MS Office)

    Would be a great help if I could customize a toolbar with the functions and reports I use most frequently - similar to what users can do in MS Office with the Quick Access Toolbar.

    Right now, many of the tools I use all the time are hidden in menus that can only be accessed by clicking very small arrows on the far edges of my screen (e.g., tag editor, autotag editor, and advanced search).   11. Add functionnal keyboard support

    So far the app is absolutely mouse-dependant. Those little tick boxes are nearly impossible to click with a touchscreen and there doesn't seem to be a way to toggle them with the keyboard. Hence the app is unconvenient to use without a mouse such as with a laptop or tablet. I would expect to be able to switch between the Timeline, the Details and the Summary panels using TAB, and to be able to toggle individual items in the Details and Summary using SPACEBAR

  12. Total should include timer

    Include the current task in the Timer as part of the Total in the bottom right. (And updating every minute would be fine. I don't need to see the seconds ticking off and using CPU).
    As a person keeping track of my time I would like to know if I've already worked the desired number of hours without reading the total at the bottom, and the time on the timer and doing the math myself.
    Perhaps there would be Completed: {duration} Timer: {duration} Total: {sum of Completed and Timer}

  16. Screenshot difference compression

    Manictime's screenshot feature is a life saver. But it also takes up a ton of space using a full separate image for each screenshot. 90% of the time, adjacent screenshots are nearly identical, except for some text on the screen. Huge storage efficiency could be gained by using difference calculation between screenshots.

    For example:
    1. Every 10 minutes, take a fresh screenshot. Store it as a png like normal.
    2. Every 15 seconds thereafter, take a new screenshot to memory
    3. Using a library like ImageMagick, calculate the subtraction from the most recent png screenshot and the new screenshot in…

    The ability to trigger a screenshot on demand.

    Sometimes I need a screenshot of something in case I need to refer to it later, it would be good if this could be in manic time instead of having dozens of windows Snip tools open.

  19. Dynamic tag shortcuts

    Would love to see a shortcut that tags the selected block of time with the last tag used, i.e. the tag that's at the top of the "add tag" list.

    I often go through my timeline to find the spots throughout the day where I was working on a particular project, and I tag each of these blocks of time as I go through.   20. Track which Chrome profile is in use.

    I use separate Chrome profiles for work and not-work. When I access a site like, "mail.google.com", I currently can't tell if it's for work or not. Having the added information about the Chrome profile would completely fix this.
