Would be great if it can have a plugin for Microsoft Teams - as this is now the replacement for Skype for Business etc.250 votes
As of now, MS Teams does not share data about calls, so there is not way to add this feature.
Nov 2023: To our knowledge, this is still not possible
There is need to add autotag timeline to statistics, because most of activity is recorded automatically (at least in my case).190 votes
There are many SMB's running their office tools on their Synology NAS. It would be pretty nice to have the Manic Time Server running on this platform too. MT is just the kind of tool/facility to run from a NAS, providing secure access from everywhere.121 votes
It would be nice if I could merge multiple selected times with same tag (with all the notes concatenated together)
Maybe triggered by an right-click option after selecting a time frame
Or an option to use the concatenated notes while adding a new tag over a timeframe that contains already tagged time
So it would be possible to constantly add short notes everytime during the work, and later tag the whole time, joining the already taken notes together55 votes
V 4.0 added the ability to undo, but it's like chasing a mouse! Miss that few-seconds window & it's gone. There are tons of comments asking for this on the idea where V4.0 is marked as complete, so I think it's not being seen how bad we want this! Please and thank you!54 votes
I travel a lot to different time zones and need to change the Windows system clock's time zone when I do. The ManicTime timeline displays in local time (I presume) so as a result I end up with 'overlapping' activities in my timeline. I suspect the labels then also overlap and are not added.
This would all be resolved if ManicTime would record and display in UTC.51 votes
Would like to be able to see what channel I am posting to in Slack application. Right now it just says "Slack" so you don't really know what project that was for.45 votes
I used the program for more than 2 years and the DB grew strongly (300 MB)
This slows down the program when I open client

I use separate Chrome profiles for work and not-work. When I access a site like, "mail.google.com", I currently can't tell if it's for work or not. Having the added information about the Chrome profile would completely fix this.39 votes
The current Office 365 plug in cannot access a calendar which is shared with other people within an organisation. MS have removed the ability to output this as a .ics file
If it is not possible to have the plugin talk directly to such a set-up, having a built-in mini browser to allow you to log in to your Office 365 Account, view the calendar and export the text into the rest of ManicTime might be a workaround. This would also increase the functionality for other MS Office apps such as Teams etc. It would also increase functionality for other…36 votes
Not only recording the past, but also planning the future, i.e. plan tasks and set reminders to start. Later compare with the planned tasks.30 votes
It would be nice if ManicTime could detect that a computer is controlled through a remote desktop connection such as through TeamViewer, and give the option to not track that time as active.
I have ManicTime installed on both my home and office computer, and sometimes need to do something on my office computer remotely when I'm at home. In effect, this time gets counted as doubly active, because my home ManicTime client will detect that I'm working in the TeamViewer application, while the office ManicTime client thinks I'm actually on the computer there and working in the local applications.…28 votes
Every time I want to choose a tag, the previous typed notes are also saved to choose from (see attachment)
I would only like to choose from tags. And then still I would like to use the notes field, but only to be saved for that specific activity.
Under settings, Display, you can choose not to show Notes in 10 recent tags drop down menu, and to not show them in summary in bottom right, but you can't remove them from Add tag window. A similar setting would be helpful in this window too.27 votes
I use Xero.com for my invoicing... currently I use Temponia to capture my timesheets and create preliminary invoices which are then posted to Xero.com. I almost always refer back to ManicTime to figure out what I was doing and then manually capture into Temponia.
I was wondering if there could be ManicTime direct integration with Xero, or if not, then integration with Temponia?26 votes
I love your app. There is literally no other app like it (that I could find).
In my person and team dashboard on ManicTime Server estimates use a 5 day work week.
I can't change it to a 7 day work week.
Please allow me to choose how many days count toward the estimate.
For example, if I say I expect 11 hours of work a day, then the estimate for the week says "55hrs expected". That should be "77hrs expected" if I choose a 7 day work week.
Auto tagging very helps, but tracking collect only header of windows. Some application had same header but content are different. They are contents depends from its command line of application. How about collect command line of active application?25 votes
It would be very helpful to be able have a merged timeline view with the Applications and Documents merged together. This would give you a much better view of where you spent your time.24 votes
Currently you can import Google Calendar events. I'd like to export tags to Google Calendar24 votes
Could be interesting to have a plugin for Redmine. Lot of companies are using Redmine as task management tool, including time tracking.
Import assigned tasks as tags from Redmine and export time tracking as spent time to Redmine could be very useful.22 votes
I'm finding that I have lots of near-duplicate autotags in my system. I would like to clean this up by merging similar autotags, but there's no easy way to do this. Ideal workflow would be something like:
Select two tags.
Click "Merge tags."
Optionally update tag title.
All rules from both tags now appear under the one remaining tag.21 votes
