  1. nightly

Firefox Nightly works almost always like Firefox, but manictime doesn't know that it's more or less the same. Hopefully the firefox document timeline plugin could recognize "Nightly" and "Firefox Developer Edition" with only a minimal adaptation.

  2. tag shortcuts should work also inside tag window

It would be nice if configured tag shortcuts would also work in an opened tag windows (so shortcut could be used to tag a time in the automatic popup after returning from a break)

  3. Option in JIRA 'Save Work' dialog to consolidate entries before sending

I have just started using the JIRA plugin, and it's very impressive! One thing I think would be a great enhancement would be if there were some consolidation options in the 'Save Work' dialog box.

At a minimum, it would be great if multiple timelogs on the same date with the same "notes" could be combined into one before being sent to JIRA.

Another option which would be great would be if all timelogs on the same date for the same issue could be combined into a single entry - with all the notes concatenated together.

    Thanks!

  4. Enable auto-tag of Outlook emails based on text in From, To/CC/BCC, Subject, Body, Folder Name, Category

Enhance auto-tagging for Outlook emails. Allow rules that search for a string (or RegEx) in any of the following fields: From, To, CC, BCC, Subject, Body, Categories, and Folder. Also, store the item IDs for Outlook items, and then allow the user to re-run the auto-tag rules so that the rule could find and use each items current folder and categories.

for a lot of users outlook plugin reports a connection warning constanly, so this plugin is not installed by default.

We get some information from outlook and that can be used as regex or just a normal filter in autoags,

Source of the plugin can be found here:

    https://github.com/manictime/manictime-client-plugin-example/tree/master/source/tracker-plugin/Plugins.Outlook

So if anybody wants to get some special data from outlook they can modify the source.

  5. Focus password window when launching from tray

I think it used to do this correctly, but I've noticed in recent versions, when you click the tray icon to launch ManicTime and you have it secured with a password, the password box does not focus when it appears, so you have to click on the box to type the password. I swear you used to be able to click the tray icon and then type your password because the password box had focus. It's a small thing, but a quirky thing...

    Android version now supports:
    -Tags / Stopwatch
    -Phone call tracking
    -Phone usage (including application tracking)
-Location tracking (similar to now discontinued Moves app)

I think that covers most of the suggestions in this thread, so I suggest new requests are opened for more specific features.

  8. A bug about recording "Form1.Designer.cs"

    [Bug Report]
When I edited the "View Designer" in Visual Studio(C#),I noticed that it was "Form1.cs" rather than "Form1.Designer.cs" that was recorded in the "documents timeline" of Manic Time. But in fact, the "View Designer" is editing "Form1.Designer.cs".So the record is wrong.
By the way, thank you for providing the free version!

  10. Remember "periodically check if I am still working on this" settings

I use the above mentioned feature of the stopwatch every time, and I set it to remind me every 5 minutes. It would be useful if ManicTime remembered the state of the checkbox and how many minutes specified, then defaulted to that instead of 30 minutes.

  11. Pomodoro technique

It would be great if ManicTime implemented a way of working easily with the Pomodoro Technique[1]. It could be a very simple implementation:

    • A pomodoro checkbox in the stopwatch
    • A way of setting intervals aka "pomodoros" (e.g., the classic 25 minutes work + 5 minutes break)
    • A way of setting how many intervals before prompting for a longer break
    • When an a break or interval is reached, the tags dialog pops up asking you to tag your time (e.g., whether you've just been working, or breaking)

ManicTime already does so much of what's required for a really rich Pomodoro experience…

  13. Import CSV to new timeline

Hey, i'd like to have a function to import a CSV file to a new timeline.

For example one could export all emails from one folder of thunderbird to a CSV file. This file would include subject, from, to, date time. After import to ManicTime each emails would be shown in an additional timeline with a configurable duration of x min.

Another example: Export the call log from your phone / PBX, with phone numbers, date, start, end time and import it to ManicTime.

    Would be very helpful :-)

  14. Export timelines (Auto-Tags) to CSV / Excel

In addition to the existing export functions i'd like to export the auto-tag timeline to csv.

Another nice feature would be an export of all timelines summarized.

  16. Custom Keyboard Shortcuts for Assigning Tags

The new 0-9 (or Ctrl-0 through Ctrl-9) tag shortcuts are great, but being able to arbitrarily assign any key as a tag shortcut would be even better: 'L' for Lunch, 'P' for Project 1, 'S' for Daily Stand-up Meeting.

Tag shortcuts are already the most efficient way to tag time. With easier to remember custom mnemonics, this powerful feature would also become one of the most accessible.

  17. open document from advanced search of application timeline

I would like to be able to search the Applications timeline (for words appearing in a web page title, etc.), find a web page I am looking for, right-click on that page, and then Open the associated URL in my browser. Right now an Open option appears on the right-click menu for the found items, but it is grayed out.

  19. I'd like to have a Linux-Version of ManicTime

<quote from Last Years Request Page: http://bit.ly/1J2m4Ns>
As often requested in the old Forum, there are quite a few People that like to see a Linux-Version of ManicTime. Main-Focus may be Ubuntu for greatest audience.
I'm a Software-Developer and currently ManicTime is the only reason I don't switch to Linux as Develoment Enviroment. Since I know ManicTime, I can't imagine to work without it ;(
At best, you can modify the Windows-Version to run on Mono (Open Source .NET-runtime environment). This may work with very little effort.
Greatest challenge would be to read address-bar of browsers on the different gui…

We have Linux tracker (tracking apps, browser usage with our browser plugin and screenshots), Linux server and now also cloud option.
So there are two ways to use it on the Linux, either with on premise server or our cloud.

We realize that this does not satisfy everybody supporting this idea, but we need suggestions for more specific ideas.
So we suggest more specific feature ideas are opened, so we can see which features are most desired and work on that.

  20. ManicTime Server - translations

I would love it, if it ManicTime Server would be available in other languages.
